NFL Week 16 MUST WIN Games for Head Coaches and Teams

NFL Week 16 MUST WIN Games for Head Coaches and Teams

JoePhilbin7

Joe Philbin, Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills – Miami still has a good chance to make the Playoffs this season but more than likely the Dolphins will have to win out against…

At Buffalo Bills
New York Jets

…..because losses in both of those games would more than likely leave the Dolphins out of the Playoffs and Philbin with a 8 – 8 record in 2013.

The Miami Dolphins SHOULD beat the Bills in this spot and MUST beat the Bills in this spot or Joe Philbin will be headed back to the Hot Seat which is never a fun place to be whether Joe Philbin gets fired from his job in a few weeks OR as a place to be sitting during the entire upcoming offseason!

LeslieFrazier67

Leslie Frazier, Minnesota Vikings vs. Cincinnati Bengals – It may already be too late for Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier to hold onto his job in Minnesota but it wouldn’t hurt Frazier’s argument if the Vikings could finish with two wins over…

At Cincinnati Bengals
Detroit Lions

…..to finish the season at….

6 – 9 – 1

…..and that makes this Bengals game a MUST, MUST WIN for Minnesota and the Cincinnati Bengals in their push for the Playoffs.

GregSchiano77

Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay Bucs vs. St. Louis Rams – Greg Schiano’s two year win/loss record with the Tampa Bay Bucs now stands at….

11 – 19

…..and with games left to be played in 2013 against…

At St. Louis Rams
At New Orleans Saints

….if Schiano is going to return for the 2014 season and have any momentum going into next year then winning at least one of these last two games is a MUST.

YES…the St. Louis Rams is a MUST WIN Game for Greg Schiano and the Bucs.

RexRyan7

Rex Ryan, New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns – We rather doubt that Rex Ryan has ANY argument to remain the head coach of the New York Jets with his team missing the Playoffs again this season but for Damn sure if the Jets collapse right now and lose their last two games against…

Cleveland Browns
At Miami Dolphins

…..then the Ryan-era with the Jets will end very ugly indeed.

Our recommendation to Rex Ryan:  Get your New York Jets team ready to play these last two games and get them play like their hair is on fire!

JasonGarrett7

Jason Garrett, Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys – It is not lost on anyone here at Coaches Hot Seat and it certainly cannot be lost on anyone on or within the Dallas Cowboys organization that the….

Perfect Complete Freaking Disaster of a Storm

…..is now set-up to unfold with the Cowboys finishing the season against….

At Washington Redskins
Philadelphia Eagles

….and with the Eagles now holding a 1-game lead on the Cowboys finish the season with…

Chicago Bears
Philadelphia Eagles

…..which means that an Eagles win and Cowboys loss on Sunday and the Philadelphia Eagles are….

NFC East Division Champions

…..and that last game between the Eagles and Cowboys in Dallas would mean….

NOTHING!

Can the mighty Dallas Cowboys….in Jerry Jones mind….really lose to a 3 – 11 Washington Redskins team on Sunday which has its starting QB in RGIII benched for the rest of the season?

JerryJone2

YES is the answer to that question but for Damn sure win or lose….

Jerry Jones will no doubt still believe he is the “right man” to be the general manager of the Dallas Cowboys!

There is a word that clearly defines all that Jerry Jones is about and is in this life and that word is….

STUPID.

What must be really depressing for Jerry Jones is that IF Jerry Jones had gone to West Texas in 1997 and shoveled shit for the past 17 NFL Seasons and let someone else run the Cowboys in our opinion here at Coaches Hot Seat….

Not only would the Cowboys have won at least ONE Freaking Football Game in the Postseason

The Dallas Cowboys would have won 2….maybe 3 more…..Super Bowls!

Lombardi6

When one realizes that the organization you own would have been better off if you had been shoveling shit over the past 17 years then that must be a terrible blow but then does anyone really think Jerry Jones would even have the ability to shovel shit properly?

Didn’t think so.

MikeShanahan4

Mike Shanahan, Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys – Whether Mike Shanahan returns to coach the Redskins in 2014 or not probably has a lot more to do with how much…

Mike Shanahan is will to take to NOT coach the Redskins in 2014

…..and thus these last two games against….

Dallas Cowboys
At New York Giants

….really don’t matter that much to the 3 – 11 Redskins but don’t you just know that everyone within the Washington football organization would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be the ones that eliminated Jerry Jones and the Cowboys from Playoffs?

YES is the answer to that question!

MikeMunchak7

Mike Munchak, Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – With Titans head coach Mike Munchak sitting on an overall win/loss record of…

20 – 26

….in three seasons at Tennessee and a 5 – 9 record in 2013 the last thing that Munchak can afford right now is to lose the last two games of the season to….

At Jacksonville Jaguars
Houston Texans

….and more than likely even one loss in either of these last two games will lead to Munchak losing his job in a few weeks because 10 losses in a season when the Titans were expected to be fighting for a Playoffs spot would not be a good thing!

YES….the Jacksonville Jaguars is a MUST WIN Game for Mike Munchak and the Titans.

TomCoughlin7

Tom Coughlin, New York Giants vs. Detroit Lions – Now sitting on a 5 – 9 record and with these games left to play…

At Detroit Lions
Washington Redskins

…it looks as if the Giants will finish with at least TEN LOSSES in 2013 and barring a Draft Day Miracle or Free Trade Fantasy from what we have seen of this Giants football team they sure the Hell want be any better in 2014 so it looks like Tom Coughlin’s coaching career will go down in flames with back-to-back Ten-Plus Loss seasons not that there is anything wrong with that in New York where it isn’t any longer….

The Cream Stays at the Top Because It Is Cream

…but rather New York it seems is about….

Give Poor Pitiful Tom Coughlin a break because of things he accomplished in the….PAST!

Broadway777

Broadway does it best….

If you FAIL you are done and the marquee is down before the sets are taking down and the actors are out the back door BUT if you are the head coach of the New York Giants…

Your Football Team can look like they are hardly coached at all AND you get to coach another season!

Actually the Detroit Lions is NOT a MUST WIN Game for Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants because Tom Coughlin could go to sleep and completely quit coaching the Giants….which many of us believe he has already done….and keep his job!

Isn’t Communism Great because for Damn sure the New York Giants aren’t run by Americans or Capitalists!

JimSchwartz7

Jim Schwartz, Detroit Lions vs. New York Giants – With the season and head coach Jim Schwartz’s job on the line in the last two games of the season again….

New York Giants
At Minnesota Vikings

…..the Lions will have to win both of these games AND get some help to make it into the Playoffs and if the Lions don’t make it into the Playoffs then Jimmy Schwartz is done in Detroit.

YES…the New York Giants is a MUST WIN Game for Jim Schwartz and the Lions!

DennisAllen7

Dennis Allen, Oakland Raiders vs. San Diego Chargers – If Raiders head coach Dennis Allen wants to have any kind of argument why he should be brought back to coach the Raiders for a third season then he better Damn not lose his team’s last two games against…

At San Diego Chargers
Denver Broncos

….because a 6-game losing streak to end 2013 would be a very bad look come late December.

YES….the San Diego Chargers is a MUST WIN Game for Dennis Allen and the Raiders!

Coaches Hot Seat NFL Quotes of the Day – Thursday, December 19, 2013 – Aristotle

Coaches Hot Seat NFL Quotes of the Day – Thursday, December 19, 2013 – Aristotle

“All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsions, habit, reason, passion, desire.”

And

“All men by nature desire knowledge.”

And

“Character may almost be called the most effective means of persuasion.”

And

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

And

“No great genius has ever existed without some touch of madness.”

And

“The energy of the mind is the essence of life.”

And

“You will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honor.”

And

“He who has overcome his fears will truly be free.”

And

“Well begun is half done.”

And

“Man, when perfected, is the best of animals, but when separated from law and justice, he is the worst of all.”

And

‘Any one can get angry — that is easy — or give or sped money; but to do this to the right person, to the right extent, at the right time, with the right motive, and in the right way, that is not for every one, nor is it easy.”

And

“Man, when perfected, is the best of animals, but when separated from law and justice, he is the worst of all.”

And

“Again, men in general desire the good, and not merely what their fathers had.”

And

“A state is not a mere society, having a common place, established for the prevention of mutual crime and for the sake of exchange…. Political society exists for the sake of noble actions, and not of mere companionship.”

And

“The basis of a democratic state is liberty.”

And

“With regard to excellence, it is not enough to know, but we must try to have and use it.”
