Les Miles and the People That Pay His Salary and “Judge” Him = The Fans – The Stanford Football Debacle at Washington – Post Week 5 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings – Just Keep Giving These Hot Seat Coaches Hell Mr. Cash…Just Keep Giving Them Hell! Thank You Johnny!

Les Miles and the People That Pay His Salary and “Judge” Him = The Fans

We couldn’t help but laugh on Saturday morning watching Les Miles get his ass kissed by ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi when Miles said in an interview that

“I don’t give a damn who judges us or who judges me.”

….because it seems clear that Les Miles and maybe many other College Football Head Coaches don’t seem to understand who “judges us + me” which is ALWAYS…

The Fans who pay ALL of these College Football Head Coaches Mult-Million Dollar Salaries!

Memo to Les Miles and ALL other College Football Head Coaches: It’s not websites like Coaches Hot Seat or other media entities that get coaches in trouble and onto the “Hot Seat” and then fired but rather YOU Les Miles and other coaches NOT…

Winning Enough Football Games

….which leads to the fans of the schools losing confidence, enthusiasm, and eventually support for the coach and when support for a coach falls below 50%….which it has been below for YOU Les Miles since the loss at Alabama in 2015….YOU Les Miles or ANY other head coach will be in peril of losing their job!

By all rights Les Miles should have been fired last December and LSU could have hired Tom Herman and avoided the mess that the 2016 season has become which may yet be saved by Ed Orgeron by playing post 1960 football BUT still there is only ONE person on the Earth that is responsible for Les Miles getting his ass fired at LSU and that ONE person is…

Les Miles!

Look in the mirror Les Miles and you will find the “judge” that got your STUPID ass fired because it was STUPID to keep running that STUPID Pee-Wee Football Offense when you have Top 5 talent in the country and you are sacrificing it so Les Miles can prove a point that he is right and everyone else is wrong and YES it is our opinion…

Les Miles is STUPID and ANY athletic director that hires him after his ignorant comments to Tom Rinaldi on Saturday is as STUPID as the ADs that hired Charlie Weis after the Disaster that was Charlie Weis at Notre Dame!

Look in the Damn Mirror Les Miles….just look in the Damn Mirror Son!

The Stanford Football Debacle at Washington

After Stanford Football’s slow start to the 2016 season on the offensive side of the ball we added something to our standard charting of the Cardinal’s offensive plays to see if we could notice some kind of trend that would be causing the offense to struggle and what we found shocked us which was made even worse by the…

Total Damn Disaster Against Washington Last Friday Night!

We have for many years now charted Stanford’s offensive plays in an Excel spreadsheet, but in 2016 we have added the Cardinal’s offensive sets to the spreadsheet and before the Washington game we looked to see if there were any obvious correlations that would really stand out to an opposing team’s coaching staff since all they do is look at tendencies of upcoming teams and going into the Washington game the truth is…

The Stanford Offense which uses a very small number of offensive sets added to David Shaw’s play-calling tendencies over the past several years has led to the Cardinal offense being the MOST predictable offense in America and in our opinion….

The Washington Coaching Staff and Players KNEW the plays that Stanford was going to run on most plays and that is why they were able to really tee-off on the Cardinal offense!

Oh…but that’s not the end of the story…a Coaches Hot Seat member who lived for three years in Seattle and has many friends at the University of Washington got a field pass from a UW friend and found some Huskies gear to put-on and he went over to the Washington sideline during the game on Friday night when Stanford had the ball and the reality is….

The Washington Coaching Staff and Players KNEW the plays that Stanford was running on MOST plays before the snap!

Coach Bill Walsh will always be missed but this past Sunday was a day when Coach Walsh was really missed in the Stanford Athletics Department because no doubt in our minds if Coach Walsh was sitting in his office on The Farm on Sunday he would have said to Stanford head coach David Shaw once he got back from Seattle:

“I am trying to remember when I taught you to be Lazy As Hell David?”

David Shaw:  “What?”

Coach Walsh:  “You heard me…Lazy As Hell…because that offensive gameplan against Washington was Lazy As Hell in Spades because all you Bloomgren did was pull out the gameplan against Washington in 2015 and you thought that would be good enough for a team that had another year to improve under Chris Petersen? Very little motion, you are running the same plays over and over again out of the same offensive sets, you are going on the same count on almost every play, and worst of all you are now very predictable because I just looked at what Coaches Hot Seat sent over this morning and anyone would know what plays you are going to run before the ball is snapped Son! Here’s a thought for you David with Washington State coming to Stanford Stadium this coming Saturday…actually put some Damn work in this week instead of being Lazy As Hell and doing the same thing over and over again which anyone with a working brain could figure out and quick!”

Oh Damn…we really miss Coach Walsh on The Farm but then maybe we were able to deliver a message from Coach Walsh from afar who no doubt was Mad As Hell watching Stanford and David Shaw’s disastrous offensive gameplan against Washington which not only shutdown the Cardinal offensive but the offense was so bad it negatively impacted the Stanford defense as well which was on the field for a Helluva lot of time in the game!

Memo to David Shaw:  We will be charting Stanford’s offensive sets and Your playcalls against Washington State and if you do the same thing again we will start posting Stanford’s offensive sets and the 1 or 2 plays that the Cardinal ALWAYS runs out of those offensive sets which will make it Very Damn Easy for ANYONE to shutdown the Stanford offense not just coaches that do the work to see Stanford’s now Totally Damn Obvious offensive tendencies which means…

You better Damn QUIT being Lazy As Hell Son!

Post Week 5 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

Just Keep Giving These Hot Seat Coaches Hell Mr. Cash…Just Keep Giving Them Hell! Thank You Johnny!

Post Week 5 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

1.  Charlie Strong, Texas – Whatever the Hell is going on Texas right now there is just no getting around the reality that both the facts and the appearance for Charlie Strong now 29 games into his tenure as the head coach of the Texas Longhorns looks bad especially when one considers the reality that…

Charlie Strong is known as a defensive coach

….and his Horns have been nothing short of a Total Disaster for almost the last three seasons now!

That Charlie Strong is 29 games into his tenure at Texas is an important number to consider because at the 29 game mark Strong’s record now stands at…

13 – 16

….and Strong took over a Horns team in 2014 that the two previous seasons before he took over in Austin posted a combined record of….

17 – 9

Why is that important you ask?

Well…Mack Brown took over the Texas football program in 1998 and in the previous two seasons under John Mackovic the horns were….

12 – 12

….and 29 games into his tenure Mack Brown’s record stood at…

20 – 9!

What does all of the above mean exactly you ask?

Mack Brown took over a much worse situation at Texas from John Mackovic than Charlie Strong got from Mack Brown and yet…

Mack Brown had won 7 more games at the 29 game mark

…and if you don’t know that is the difference between Night and Day in number of games won by both coaches in their first 29 games at Texas!

We made a few calls on Sunday and Monday down to south Texas to talk to our Texas-alum fishing buddies and they say the temperature on Strong’s rear-end is HOT – HOT – HOT as our ole’ friend Huell Howser used to say….

….and now at 2 – 2 on the season it will almost take Texas running the table for Charlie Strong to save his job and here is what the Horns have left:

Oklahoma – Dallas
Iowa State
At Kansas State
At Texas Tech
West Virginia
At Kansas

Our guess…Texas wins….3…maybe 4…maybe – maybe 5 more games in 2016 and even if Texas finishes at…

7 – 5

…on the season when the Notre Dame win is now Crapola and just down the road in Houston is Tom Herman who we hear….

Would walk to Austin for the Texas job over a Gulfstream V to Baton Rouge for the LSU job

….which is our humble opinion of course means that barring a miracle in Austin and the USC job opening up more than likely…

Tom Herman will be the head coach of the Texas Longhorns by the middle of January at the latest!

Great Luck to you Charlie Strong and even if Texas doesn’t work out in the end there will be another coaching opportunity for you down the road Charlie for both you and your assistant coaches so just put your head down and do your best Charlie!

2.  Steve Addazio, Boston College – Steve Addazio and Boston College got their second helping of a cupcake in week 5 with a game against Buffalo which with a win raises the BC record in 2016 to….

3 – 2

….with these games still left on the schedule:

At NC State
At Florida State
At Wake Forest

Very simply…anything less than 6 wins and Steve Addazio is DONE at Boston College come late November because Addazio’s win/loss records at BC now stand at…

Overall:  20 – 23

ACC:  8 – 18

…and even at BC you can’t NOT have a .500-plus record in your FOURTH year on the job….no NOT even at Boston College can you get away with that!

3.  Tim DeRuyter, Fresno State – The slide by Fresno State football continued anew on Saturday with a 45 – 20 loss to UNLV on the road which dropped the Bulldogs record in 2016 to 1 – 4 and drops Tim DeRuyter’s records over the last THREE seasons at Fresno to…

Overall:  10 – 21

MWC:  7 – 10

….which are records that are just FLAT-OUT not survivable at a place like Fresno State which is used to posting .500-plus record on a regular basis and save a .500-plus record in 2016 for the Bulldogs in our opinion Fresno State will be looking for a new head coach come December.

Up next for Fresno State…a very winnable game on the road at Nevada!

4.  Paul Haynes, Kent State – The Kent State Golden Flashes lost to Akron at home on Saturday which drops Paul Haynes football team’s record in 2016 to 1 – 4 and Haynes records at Kent State in FOUR seasons on the job to….

Overall: 10 – 30

MAC:  6 – 18

Nope…that’s not going to get it done at Kent State and either Paul Haynes will get things turned around and quick or KSU will be looking for a new head coach in the next couple of months.

5.  Darrell Hazell, Purdue – Columnist Gregg Doyel of the Indianapolis Star wrote a fascinating article about the current state of Purdue football on Monday…

Mad about Darrell Hazell, Purdue football? Have to care first, Gregg Doyel, Indianapolis Star

…mainly because Total Apathy has set-in it seems in West Lafayette for the Boilermakers and in our opinion things are not going to get better anytime soon for Hazell who has posted the following records in FOUR seasons at Purdue:

Overall:  8 – 32

Big Ten:  2 – 23

After the 50 – 7 loss to Maryland on the road on Saturday to a team with a first-year head coach the Boilermakers travel to Illinois to play another team with a first-year head coach and barring some kind of Miracle From Heaven that puts some kind of fairy dust on the Purdue football team which would almost have to run the table to save Darrell Hazell’s job….well…they would have to win at least 6 games in 2016….the Purdue job which we happen to think is a Pretty Damn Good Coaching Job will come open in late November….if not earlier.

6.  Clay Helton, USC – The word coming back to us is that Clay Helton and his assistant coaches got the message over the past couple of weeks that their asses were on the line and that there is a growing group of powerful USC alumni that are ready to make a push for Tom Herman or someone else to coach the Trojans and that push led to…

USC almost beating Utah

USC whipping Arizona State

…and now the Trojans record is 2 – 3 on the season with these games still left to play:

At Arizona
At Washington
Notre Dame

It’s just a guess on our part but if Clay Helton can get his Trojans to EIGHT wins in 2016 meaning USC would win…

6 of its last 7 games

….Clay Helton would be in a safe position to be the head coach of the USC Trojans in 2017.

If USC just wins 7 games….Oh that would be Very Damn Iffy!

If USC just wins 6 games….more than likely Clay Helton is GONE!

If USC just wins 5 games – Clay Helton is DONE at USC!

There you have it Clay Helton…

Win 6 of your last 7 games and more than likely you will get another year to turn things around at USC…but if you don’t hit the EIGHT win mark though….keep U-Haul on speed dial Son!

7.  Will Muschamp, South Carolina – With the South Carolina loss to Texas A&M on Saturday the Cocks record dropped to 2 – 3 on the season and Will Muschamp and his football team still have to play games against..

At Florida
Western Carolina
At Clemson

Damn….anyone else thinking that South Carolina is only going to win 4 games in 2016?

Thought so!

8.  Mark Stoops, Kentucky – It must be a Damn Good Feeling that you can be an…

Average As Hell Football Coach

….and have enough Stupid Damn People that you are working for that have given you an ABSURD contract so that you can continue to be an..

Average As Hell Football Coach

…and you will get paid $10 Million Plus Dollars to NOT coach a football team that you FAILED miserably in coaching in the first place!

Such is the position of one Mark Stoops…Head Football Coach at Kentucky!

In the Real World employment contracts for valuable employees are drawn-up in such a way so that when someone gets their ass fired they are paid…

Usually 6 Months…Sometimes A Year of Salary

….and yet at Kentucky Mark Stoops would be owed north of $10 Million Dollars if he was fired at the end of this season and what has Mark Stoops done at UK to deserve such a RICH contract you ask? This…

Overall:  14 – 27

SEC:  5 – 22

Oh there are So Many Damn Morons in Athletic Director positions these days who just LOVE wasting other people’s…that would be the fans…hard-earned money!

Now at 2 – 3 on the season Kentucky has left games against…

Mississippi State
At Missouri
At Tennessee
Austin Peay
At Louisville

How many games will Kentucky win in 2016 you ask?

Our guess…2 more games for a total of 4 Wins in 2016!

If Kentucky does win only 4 games in 2016 and we were the President of the University of Kentucky we would in late November walk over to the UK athletic complex and grab Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart and Mark Stoops by the scruff of the necks and personally toss their Sorry Damn Asses off of the UK campus…but that’s just us mind you who rather enjoy tossing…

Total Damn Idiots

…by the scruff of the neck out the door making sure the door hits them in ass on the way out!

9.  Gus Malzahn, Auburn – Auburn whipped La. Monroe at home on Saturday as ANY Auburn football program is supposed to do with a head coach in his FOURTH year on the job but now the gauntlet begins with the Tigers remaining games below:

At Mississippi State
At Ole Miss
At Georgia
Alabama A&M
At Alabama

Now at 3 – 2 on the season and with Gus Malzahn sitting on records over the last THREE seasons of…

Overall:  18 – 13

SEC:  7 – 11

…and if you take out the CUPCAKE games an Overall Record over the last THREE seasons Malzahn’s win/loss record against legitimate football programs stand at…

9 – 12

….and yet we have it on pretty good authority that if Gus Malzahn can get to 6 wins in 2016…YES…we just wrote 6 Freaking Wins in 2016…he more than likely would be back to coach Auburn in 2017 which is Crazy As Hell but says a Helluva Lot about the current state + expectations for Auburn Football which at best is…

Average As Hell Is Okey-Dokey on The Plains!

10.  Mark Helfrich, Oregon – We were able to talk to a long-time friend and Oregon-alum on Tuesday morning and the reality of the situation is that…

Mark Helfrich is in a Helluva Lot of Trouble in Eugene

…and a loss to Washington which would drop the Ducks record to 2 – 4 on the season would be a “near fatal” development that would leave Helfrich NO room for error the rest of the 2016 season.

OK…let’s assume that Washington beats the Hell out of Oregon on Saturday and drops the Ducks record to 2 – 4 below is what Helfrich has left on his schedule this season…

At California
Arizona State
At Utah
At Oregon State

Geez…that looks like 6 wins at most for Oregon in 2016 and anything less than 9 wins in Helfrich’s FOURTH year on the job as head coach of the Ducks and in our humble opinion…

Mark Helfrich is DONE at Oregon!
