Now those are some great First Round Football Games!  Trying to compare the above kind of real football games that actually mean something that would be generated with a 16-team college football postseason tournament to a bogus title game and a bunch of exhibition games that MEAN NOTHING is like comparing a nice wine from the Black Stallion Winery to some rock gut bourbon!  Come on, who would really choose a bogus national title game that is determined by a roulette wheel system and 4 meaningless exhibition games to 8 real games involving the best 16 teams in the country that will lead to 4 great quarter final games, 2 great semifinal/Final Four games and then a legitimate and earned national title game that cannot be questioned by anyone? 

 

Please, is there really someone stupid enough to say in Gomer Pyle syntax:

Yes, there may be a couple of idiots around that are that stupid, but if they are not on the BCS payroll…..can we say they are looking up at Forrest Gump in the IQ column!

 

If are an American citizen and you would choose the bogus BCS over a 16-team playoff then you have some serious mental problems, you are a Candy Ass academic that wouldn’t know the difference between a football and baseball on the best day of your life, you are making money off the BCS, or you are a member of the media that loves having bullshit blown up your ass which will lead you to say anything as long as your ass is being sufficiently kissed!

Notice, except for the First Round Games which will be played on both a Friday and Saturday (talk about a great two days of college football when the whole country will be tuned in!) all the football games in this tournament will be played on a SATURDAY which is the day that all college football games should be played on!  TV money is great, but all of these games that are not being played on Saturday is not good for the game from where we sit.  These short weeks do not give teams enough time to rest up and get prepared for a game and these college football games on Friday night encroach on high school football, which is a travesty.

 

The absolute best thing about a 16-Team Postseason Playoff Tournament in College Football?  There wouldn’t be idiots on TV talking about which are the best two teams in college football after 2 weeks of games have been played!  A 16-Team Tournament guarantees that all of the best teams will have a shot at a national title and if there is an American that can argue with that, please, you badly need a trip to Washington DC to spend some time looking at and studying the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution at the National Archives, because you haven’t a clue to what our Republic is all about.

We know that many subscribers and visitors and to Coaches Hot Seat do not tune into C-Span very much, which is too bad because the life our nation is incredibly damn important, but over the weekend author Jon Krakauer was interviewed about his new book, Where Men Win Glory:  The Odyssey of Pat Tillman, and it is a must see for all Americans.  Jon Krakauer is one of the best writers of this generation and it was great of him to take on the Pat Tillman story and he did a great job in his book of illuminating some of outrageous things that were done by the US Army, the military establishment, and even the top leaders of our country did in covering up the death of Pat Tillman in Afghanistan.

One thing that Krakauer does in this book on Pat Tillman is show the lengths that the US military and our government will go to cover-up and even use outright lies to generate what is nothing less than propaganda designed to deceive the American people.  Yes, the US government lies to the American people on a regular basis and our elected politicians do some incredibly outlandish things, but when it really gets our attention is when they manipulate the media in order to generate support for a policy that actually inflicts death upon American citizens.  These bastards in Washington DC are going to steal and lie for the rest of time, but when their actions start to intrude on the lives of American citizens that are just trying to do their job and stay the Hell out of the way of these fools, is when the bullshit crosses the line, and the bullshit clearly crossed the line in the case of Pat Tillman.

 

Pat Tillman was at his core an original, honest, and caring human being who loved his country and family, and in the end it was a bunch of damn fools that not only don’t know right from wrong, but also don’t care about right from wrong that told a story to the American people that was an outright lie.  Yes, to the highest reaches of the US government, a lie was perpetrated on the American people, all in the name of ginning up support for a war effort in Iraq that was falling to pieces in the spring of 2004, and to that we can only hope that the people that participated in that exercise against Pat Tillman and his family get their just rewards some day, for they sure the Hell deserve to be treated as the vermin they really are. 

 

C-Span will be airing the interview with Jon Krakauer again on Sunday, September 27 at 12 Noon EST/9 AM PST on C-Span 2 and we certainly encourage you to tune in or record it.  It is an incredibly revealing interview about Pat Tillman, the US military and the lengths they and other will sometimes go to manipulate the media and just how evil these bastards in Washington DC can be when they think they have something that can move public opinion.  One wonder how these bastards can sleep at night, oh how we wonder how they can possibly live with themselves when pulling bullshit like they did in the death of Pat Tillman.  Yes, these folks are bastards, but they are in many ways much worse, they are evil.

 

Always honor are brave and terrific young men and women in the US military that lay down their lives for our country everyday, but realize that sometimes the bastards driving this train will use those very same men and women for their own personal or selfish uses, and to that we can say, you son of a bitches don’t deserve to be called Americans.  No real American would lie to the family of Pat Tillman about his death, but in our opinion, and in the opinion of many others that have taken a hard look at the Tillman story, the manipulations and lies reached right to top of our country and that is just completely outrageous and unacceptable. 

 

We really wonder, how in the Hell can these folks even sleep at night….
