Big Changes Coming Soon to Coaches Hot Seat After 5 1/2 Years, 2 Million Plus Unique Visitors and 30 Million Plus Pageviews – Coaches Hot Seat Will Be A Different Type of Website With A New Approach To Covering the News of the Day Before the 2012 College Football Season Arrives and We Look Forward To Expanding Our Commentary and Opinions on the Great Game College Football and Beyond – Have A Great Memorial Day Weekend!
Starting back in the middle of January 2007 Coaches Hot Seat has been linking news stories every day from the world of college football which is a long-time in today’s world….something like 2000 straight days of linking news stories…and in those last 5 1/2 years the Internet and the news media business has changed a good bit and that has led us to question how important it is to continue to link news stories each day since there are now so many different ways that consumers of news on college football, sports, politics, cooking, whatever….can find the relative the news they are looking for which leads us to the newest direction for Coaches Hot Seat.
Going forward Coaches Hot Seat will be almost entirely an opinion and CHS originated news website for the football season of 2012 and into the future and with the young folks that work for us here at CHS that have been linking the college football stories for the last 5 1/2 years heading out after Memorial Day across America to begin working in the battleground states in the political races for President, US House of Representatives, US Senate, etc.. (just as many of us here at CHS did 30 years ago to work for Ronald Reagan in his Presidential campaign with many of us taking off the Fall college semester of 1980 as well)…
…..there will be no one in Coaches Hot Seat Central to continue linking news stories and thus sometime in the next few days CHS will stop linking news stories and while we finish the new redesign of www.coacheshotseat.com we will forward all visitors to the Coaches Hot Seat Blog for the next 30 to 60 days or so.
What does the above mean for the loyal visitors to Coaches Hot Seat?
Well, we will no longer be linking news stories each day on the great game of college football which means for some people that follow the game of college football closely there might be a void in where they get their “college football info” each day. If one does enough research around the Internet, utilizes Twitter and other social media and builds a strong College Football Favorites folder with the best college football news sites in it they should be able to make up for the kind of information that Coaches Hot Seat delivered each day on the great game of college football.
IF there are any regular visitors to Coaches Hot Seat that would like to know how the young folks that linked the news stories each day here at CHS went about “finding, organizing and putting together” the news stories that were linked on Coaches Hot Seat we have put together a short little e-mail presentation that details how you can set-up a virtual news service on your computer at your home or office that will allow you to stay on top of stories from the game of college football or anything else you are interested in following. This presentation includes not only which software we use that helps us to dig-up news stories from across the Internet on a real-time basis, but it also shows how we set-up our computers/external monitors at Coaches Hot Seat Central, at our real world day jobs, our personal computers at home and how we set-up our computers when we are traveling on the road.

We hope to launch the new Coaches Hot Seat website later this summer (along with a new website for Coaches Hot Seat – NFL Coaches) and until that news website is live on the Internet we will be forwarding all visitors to www.coacheshotseat.com to the Coaches Hot Seat Blog which will continue to do the Coaches Hot Seat Quotes of the Day and provide commentary on College Football and other issues of the day whenever we get a burr under our saddle!
