Coaches Hot Seat 2012 Auburn Predicted Record: 8 – 4
Coaches Hot Seat Analysis: Earlier this year the daily Coaches Hot Seat poll which goes out to all CHS members asked:
Auburn’s 2010 regular season record was 12 – 0. How many wins would Auburn have had in 2010 if Cam Newton had chose Mississippi State rather than Auburn out of junior college?
Coaches Hot Seat Answer:
81% answered = 6 – 6
15% answered = 7 – 5
4% answered = 8 – 4
Wow!
Yes, 81% of Coaches Hot Seat members answered that Auburn would have won SIX games in 2010 if Cam Newton had not been the quarterback on that AU team and those SIX losses would have been to:
Mississippi State which Auburn beat 17 – 14
Clemson which Auburn beat 27 – 24 in OT
South Carolina which Auburn beat 35 – 27
Kentucky which Auburn beat 37 – 34
LSU which Auburn beat 24 – 17
Alabama which Auburn beat 28 – 27
Yes, it is Very Damn realistic that Auburn and Gene Chizik would have only won SIX games in 2010 if Cam Newton had not changed his mind and landed at Mississippi State with 2010 of course being the year that Auburn went 14 – 0 and won the Bogus and Un-American BCS national championship and that just shows how important having a very good QB is and how the decisions made by 18 – 22 year olds on which school to attend to play football are so Damn important also.
Gene Chizik is a good football coach. No, Gene Chizik is a very good football coach…BUT…if one doesn’t count the 2010 season Chizik’s overall win/loss record is…
21 – 29
…and the only reason we point that out is that Chizik’s record at Auburn not counting the 2010 season is…
Overall: 16 – 10
SEC: 7 – 9
….and that makes the 2012 season very important for Chizik and Auburn because if Cam Newton doesn’t choose Auburn University to play football at in 2010 then we have no doubt that Chizik would right now be either ON or ONE THE EDGE of the Hot Seat.
With two new coordinators on the Auburn staff for the 2012 season and two very tough games to open the season…
Clemson in Atlanta
At Mississippi State
…the Auburn Tigers better come out of the gate quick or they could be sitting at 0 – 2 with LSU coming to the Loveliest Village on the Plains in Week 4 which is going to be a big game for both schools very early on in the 2012 season.
Luckily for Gene Chizik Auburn has 3 Cupcakes on their 2012 schedule, La. Monroe, New Mexico State and Alabama A&M, so our Yard Dogs coaching the Tigers could win 3 games and that means the very tough SEC slate will be where Auburn lives or dies and anything less than 8 wins this season and Gene Chizik will start the 2013 season on the….
HOT SEAT!
This is after all Auburn football we are talking about….right? Yes…RIGHT!
Coach hard Gene Chizik because Bogus and Un-American national championships only build you up so much good will especially if Chizik and the Tigers lose to Bama in 2012 which would drop Chizik’s record against the Tide to…
1 – 3
…which would make the 2013 offseason very Damn uncomfortable!
