Review of Week 2 Coaches Hot Seat Coaches and Teams MUST Win Games – UCLA Is Playing FOOTBALL and Big Ten Cream Puffs….Nebraska and Wisconsin….Are Playing What Exactly?….Because It Isn’t Football! – Question: Do They Still Play Tackle Football in the Big Ten Conference? – Memo to the Stanford Cardinal Football Team: THERE IS NO TOMORROW!

Review of Week 2 Coaches Hot Seat Coaches and Teams MUST Win Games

In Week 2 of the 2012 college football season we listed…

15 Coaches and Teams

….facing MUST Win Games and here is how those games turned out:

12 Coaches and Teams WON Their MUST Win Games in Week 2

Tom O’Brien and NC State OVER Connecticut – Yes, NC State beat UConn….BUT by ONLY 3 points….10 – 7! Geez, that was OH SO close to putting Tom O’Brien’s rear-end on the Hot Seat!

Randy Edsall and Maryland OVER Temple – Hey, beating Temple these days especially in Philadelphia is a REAL win! On to UConn and maybe…just maybe…a win in this spot could cool down Edsall’s rip-roaring Hot ass…..in a proverbial sense that is!

Frank Spaziani and Boston College OVER Maine – Wow! Boston College beat Maine! Party time in Beantown! Oh, NO…..a trip to Northwestern is in the offing but do they even play tackle football in the Big Ten anymore?

Mike Leach and Washington State OVER Eastern Washington – Whew, the Pirate and his Cougs barely got that win….

….over Eastern Washington….24 – 20! A game at faltering UNLV is up next which is a game that ANY Washington State should ALWAYS beat and Mike Leach needs another win for the Cougs drive to a bowl game in 2012!

Brian Kelly and Notre Dame OVER Purdue – Oh, that was close….too Damn close for Brian Kelly and the Irish over Purdue. Up next for Notre Dame….a trip to play Michigan State at night in Lansing, Michigan on ABC TV! It’s time for the Irish to re-establish themselves in Major College Football and beating the Spartans on national TV on Saturday night would be a good way to do that….BUT….a blowout in this game and Kelly’s rear-end will begin to feel the heat….in a REAL sense of course!

Kevin Wilson and Indiana OVER Massachusetts – Kevin Wilson COULD NOT lose to Massachusetts and the Hoosiers DID NOT LOSE to UMass. Up next for the Hoosiers….a tough Ball State team at home which is another MUST WIN Game for Indiana.

Will Muschamp and Florida OVER Texas A&M – No two ways about it that was an impressive second-half and WIN for Muschamp’s Gators over the Aggies and here comes the former game of the year in the SEC Conference not that long ago….Florida vs. Tennessee. If the Gators can beat A&M in College Station…..they can certainly beat Tennessee in Knoxville as well! Yes, that sound you hear is Barbara Dooley (Derek Dooley’s Mama) calling Coaches Hot Seat to tell us that…

“My baby is taking Tennessee to the SEC Championship Game! Go Vols!”

Tommy Tuberville and Texas Tech OVER Texas State – Tommy Tuberville avoided the “Pants on Fire” LOSS to Texas State on Saturday and up next is another MUST Win Game for the Red Raiders against New Mexico. YES, Tommy Tuberville and Tech could start the 2012 season 3 – 0….BUT…a loss to New Mexico will send Little Debbie Boy in Memphis to the phones to immediately place a call to Bristol, CT to see if he can find something for Tommy to do next season!

Joker Phillips and Kentucky OVER Kent State – After WINNING their MUST Win Game in Week 2 over Kent State the Kentucky Wildcats and Joker Phillips face a Better the Hell NOT LOSE Game in Week 3 against Western Kentucky. This WKU game could be a defining game in Joker Phillips head coaching career because a loss in this spot with 8 SEC games remaining to be played would most definitely NOT be a good thing!

Mark Richt and Georgia OVER Missouri – So much for that New Age football they supposedly play at Missouri which got obliterated in a storm of aggressive defensive play from Georgia in the second-half which just handed EVERY team on Missouri’s schedule a way to beat the Tigers…..Pressure the Quarterback and he WILL MAKE MISTAKES! Up next for Mark Richt and the Bulldogs is CUPCAKE Florida Atlantic and then Vanderbilt at home which means the Dawgs should be 4 – 0 when the Tennessee Vols and “My Baby” Derek Dooley come calling in Athens on September 29.

Mack Brown and Texas OVER New Mexico – Mack Brown and his ‘Horns got a nice win over hapless New Mexico 45 – 0 in Week 2 and next up is a trip to play Hugh Freeze’s Ole Miss squad which is another MUST Win Game for Brown and Texas because a loss in Oxford will put Brown back onto the Top 10 of the Coaches Hot Seat Rankings. YES, there is a reason that Mississippi head coach Hugh Freeze has an overall win/loss record of 32 – 7 (.821) which ranks him 7 th on the Winningest Active Coaches and that REASON is Hugh Freeze can coach the game of football. Watch out Mack Brown and Texas!

David Shaw and Stanford OVER Duke – David Shaw and his Stanford Cardinal football team got a nice win over a decent Duke team BUT up next are the hated USC Trojans on The Farm and the Pompous Arrogance Ass behavior continues to bubble-up from “down South” as more of our USC buddies tell us that USC is going….

“Wipe-out Stanford!”

“Whip the Cardinal!”

“Beat the Hell out of you pretty boys!”

“Party down on The Farm after beating Stanford and then take all your pretty woman….if we can find any!”

“Come on….you (Stanford) know we (USC) own you (Stanford) guys!”

“Just call Stanford Stadium the LA Coliseum north because this week we are going to make it ours.”

Do we need to continue this USC-BS nonsense?

Didn’t think so!

Uhhhhh, there is that little matter of the Stanford football popping Pretty Boy Matt Barkley and the Trojans in the mouth to see if wants to play FOOTBALL on Saturday night!

YES, the USC Trojans and their fans believe Stanford has NO CHANCE to beat USC….

Which is just the way we like it!

Our recommendation to Lane Kiffin and the USC Trojans: You better bring that “Fight On” with you to The Farm on Saturday night because you MOST definitely are coming to a FIGHT!

Remember Stanford Cardinal….

“THERE IS NO TOMORROW!”

Let’s beat the Hell out of the USC Trojans this Saturday on The Farm!

3 Coaches and Teams LOST Their MUST Win Games in Week 2

Gene Chizik and Auburn LOST to Mississippi State – Uh, Oh! Gene Chizik just LOST another game without Cam Newton under center and that brings up one of the most interesting coaching stats in college coaching today….Gene Chizik’s coaching record WITH and WITHOUT Cam Newton under center:

Gene Chizik’s Win/Loss Record WITH Cam Newton

14 – 0

Gene Chizik’s Win/Loss Record WITHOUT Cam Newton

Overall:  21 – 31
Big 12/SEC:  9 – 24

Can you say Gene Chizik’s rear-end is starting to HEAT UP?

YES WE CAN!

Here’s a New and REAL problem for Gene Chizik and Auburn:

La. Monroe that just beat Arkansas in Fayetteville is on their way to The Plains on Saturday and if Gene Chizik loses this game we only have two words for Gene….

HOT SEAT!

Oh, by the way….

Auburn plays LSU in Week 4!

Bo Pelini and Nebraska LOST to UCLA – What a sight that was to see at the Rose Bowl on Saturday!

Nebraska was playing Tiddlywinks….

UCLA was playing FOOTBALL!

Geez, doesn’t Nebraska understand that in the game of football you hit people and people hit you?

It seems NOT!

Luckily for the Cream Puffs otherwise known as the Nebraska football team the Cornhuskers now get to play two straight CUPCAKE teams in Arkansas State and Idaho State before playing another Big Ten Cream Puff in Wisconsin on September 29.

Oh, that Nebraska – Wisconsin should be exciting with Cream Puffs bouncing off Cream Puffs and no doubt powdered sugar flying everywhere in Lincoln, Nebraska!

Tony Levine and Houston LOST to La. Tech – Tony Levine is NOT off to the best of starts as a head coach at Houston after losses to Texas State and La. Tech to open the season and next up is a trip to play at UCLA which is playing the game of FOOTBALL again which probably means Tony Levine’s Cougars will open the 2012 season 0 – 3! Ouch! Hell, if Houston keeps playing like this Houston which won 13 games in 2011 might lose 9 games in 2012. Repeat the following words Tony Levine because you are about to get very used to them: HOT SEAT!
