While compiling the Top 100 Assistants list we here at Coaches Hot Seat got into a discussion on how many great football coaches there are in the game today, which led to us coming up with 4 categories to classify the best coaches in the game. We went through all 120 I-A football programs and classified head coaches as either Great, Near Great, Very Good, or Head Coaches Climbing or Falling. Where is Charlie Weis?
Unless you are living in the past, Joe Paterno and Bobby Bowden should definitely be down at least a couple levels.
Charlie Weiss is on the Physically Unable to Perform list. CW will be out at Notre Dame before you know it, and the powers that be at ND will look awful for having run Willingham out so quickly.
I agree with JBG about Paterno and Bowden. Once were great, now just good.
Houston Dale Nutt does not deserve to be on the same list as Bobby Petrino. There is no comparison.
