"Covering College Football Coaching from Miami to Honolulu"

Number of School Visits by ESPN’s College GameDay

Tucked alongside a story in the Gainesville Sun on ESPN’s College GameDay coming to The Swamp this Saturday for the Florida – Miami game, was an interesting listing at the schools that have gotten the most visits from the GameDay crew.  Since GameDay often travels (but not always) to the biggest game each week, it is interesting to look at the below GameDay numbers to see just how many times they have been where.  The Gators at the top of the GameDay list is obviously a credit to the football program that Steve Spurrier built at Florida, but there are some traditional powers that are nowhere to be seen, notably Washington, UCLA, Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Georgia, and even Alabama are not in the Top 10 schools visited by GameDay.  Maybe those schools that are not getting visits from GameDay should start playing harder, because when the traveling circus of Fowler, Corso, Herbstreit, and Howard comes to town, there is just that little extra “umph” in the air.  See you at the Swamp boys!  It shouldn’t be a great one!
