TCU To The BIG EAST Conference? – Yes, That Makes Perfect Sense…..NOT! – We Don’t Blame TCU For Going To The BIG EAST Conference….No, We Blame The Sorry Ass Bastards That Forced TCU To Move To The BIG EAST Conference….The Bastard BCS Boys! – No, Allan Bloom, the American Mind Is No Longer Closing….IT IS CLOSED! – The Boys In Austin Caused The Same Type of Thing To Happen In The Big 12 That Forced TCU’s Hand and The Fools In the Big 12 Were None the Wiser! – “It’s All About the Bucks Kid. The Rest Is Conversation” – “Nice Con, Hickey” – Rich Rodriguez, Michigan and the $1.5 Million Dollar Buyout Debacle – $1.5 Million Dollars Can Buy A Whole Lot of Pizzas! – Post Week 13 Coaches Hot Seat Power Playoff Poll and 16-Team Postseason Tournament Seeding – Another Call on the CHS Red Phone From “That Area Code” with “Mr. X” Calling With Advice – R.I.P. the Great Leslie Nielsen 1926 – 2010

TCU to the Big East Conference – 750 PLUS Miles trips for all of the TCU sports teams? – Yes, that makes perfect sense!  NOT!

We certainly don’t blame TCU for heading to the Big East Conference in 2012 but the Complete Absurdity of the Bogus BCS for both football and basketball (In hoops, the BCS bullies also reign, Why E. Gordon Gee’s comments were so myopic, and apply to NCAA basketball as well) was laid out for everyone to see with TCU deciding to join a conference that the closest school is Louisville is over 750 miles away.  Yes, that makes perfect sense!  NOT!

Here is the new Big East Conference football map with TCU added:

Yes, that makes double-perfect sense!  NOT!  Just another example of the how stupid and elitist the BCS really is and how it has now forced a school in Texas to join a conference that calls itself the BIG EAST!

Somewhere the ghost of Allan Bloom who 23 years ago decried the “moral relativism” that was coming to dominate our universities in his book The Closing of the American Mind is thinking after seeing TCU join the Big East Conference that these Greedy Bastards that are running our institutions of higher learning  have Completely and Totally lost their minds!

No, Professor Bloom, the American Mind is no longer “Closing” it is CLOSED!  E. Gordon Gee’s idiotic and totally Un-American comments coupled with this TCU move just shows how warped the minds are of the people that run our colleges and universities really are because anyone that can support the Bogus and Un-American BCS out one side of their mouth and claim they are looking after the best interests of the “student-athletes” on the other have completely lost their minds!

Memo to E. Gordon Gee and others that think that the same Postseason Playoff that is used by the NCAA to crown the champion of every sport in intercollegiate athletics besides football:  A Postseason Playoff Tournament in college football that is run by the NCAA would be moving towards honoring the essential nature of what the amateur “student-athlete” and his team should be  about and stand for and it is in fact the ESPN-induced and Corporate Money funded meaningless exhibition bowl games and Bogus and Un-American BCS that is driving college football towards “professionalism.”  It is the Clueless E. Gordon Gee that will believe anything that is whispered into his ear at a cocktail party while he and his family are on an all-expense paid 10 day vacation (paid for by corporate money) to a meaningless bowl game that is the real problem here, not people that are advocating that the NCAA should be the one running the college football postseason.  But then, it would actually take someone with a working brain and someone that is not so mixed-up about what is up or down, right or wrong and other “facts” of life that get tossed in the garbage pale in the Fantasyland of the college campus that is filled with Political-Correctness and little else.  The real problem is that E. Gordon Gee is too stupid to realize that just like the Big 12 Chumps that got played for by Fools by the Boys in Austin are the same type of folks that are taking the Gee’s of the world for a ride and the Greedy Bastards that are little more than fronts for corporations and their own pocketbooks must sit back like monkeys and laugh like crazy at what a Complete Idiot that E. Gordon Gee really is.  Oh, these college and university crazies are really NUTS!

Most of us here at Coaches Hot Seat were convinced that TCU was headed to the Big East if they were offered the invitation to join after reading the Q&A that Tom Dienhart of Rivals.com had with Gary Patterson last week:

Q-and-A:  TCU coach Gary Patterson

“Question:  There is talk about TCU joining the Big East. Is that something you would like to see happen?

Gary Patterson:  “It has its positives and negatives. You have a chance to be an automatic qualifier. The money is probably 10-to-1 with what we get now. In recruiting, you have changed things because schools hold the fact we don’t play in an automatic qualifying conference against us. We have to earn our right into the game. In the Big East, we wouldn’t have to. I think it helps everybody. But I am a loyal person. I like the people in our conference.

“But we are used to change. I already have been in three conferences. It’s like being a young exec: You have to often move your family to get ahead. I am not saying the Big East is better or worse, but I don’t want to talk badly about the conference we are in.””

The money for TCU in the Big East is “10-to-1” over the MWC?

What the Hell?

Oh, that should get the antitrust folks at the US Justice Department fired up because clearly there is a cartel in intercollegiate athletics (with all of these schools public and private getting US Taxpayer money) that excludes certain I-A teams and we believe that cartel is organized around a central goal of taking as much money as possible and not allowing for a fair and complete competitive marketplace to have the opportunity to exist.  Yes, running an organized antitrust cartel in the United States is against US law and is also a felony and it would be hard for us to think of a better example than the “Mob” forcing the hand of TCU in this case to either join the cartel or be left on the outside looking in!  TCU in the BIG EAST!  Yes, that makes perfect sense!

Oh, this is such great fun as the evidence piles up that the fraudsters that claim to be interested in the “best interests of the student-athletes” are really nothing more than an OPEC cartel in the heart of the United Stated with many of the leading people in intercollegiate athletics (running and working for schools both public and private getting Billions on US Taxpayer money) involved in running what we believe to be an illegal cartel to gain an uncompetitive advantage over other I-A schools and with a Bozo like E. Gordon Gee even coming out and openly talking down those schools as well.  Yes, this all makes perfect sense!

Yes, one of the greatest things that could happen to intercollegiate athletics would be for the bullies like E. Gordon Gee to be perp-walked out of Ohio State president’s office to answer for being involved in an illegal anticompetitive cartel that exists to deny the same rights to opportunities that the members of the cartel enjoy.

Oh, that would be a GREAT DAY IN AMERICA!

Getting back to TCU the next couple of questions asked by Tom Dienhart to Gary Patterson are very revealing as well:

“Question:  What about joining Big 12?

Gary Patterson:  “If you were going to do what was right for college football, that is the best answer. But the problem is, they aren’t knocking on our door. Maybe we are a more viable player if we are in the Big East.”

Question:  Is the Mountain West better than the WAC?

Gary Patterson;  “I don’t know. I stay out of those conversations. They change year to year.””

Yes, TCU to the Big 12 makes perfect sense but then it is our opinion that the folks that are really running the Big 12 now, no not Dan Beebe and the Big 12 conference office you Fools, but the Boys in Austin, Texas don’t want any more Texas schools in the Big 12 and guess what…

THERE WILL BE NO MORE TEXAS SCHOOLS IN THE BIG 12!

So here we have TCU being formally invited to the Big East by the president of Notre Dame Father John Jenkins and TCU moving to a conference that has schools that are an average of 1000 miles away from the TCU campus!

Yes, that makes perfect sense!

Since there are lots of people here at Coaches Hot Seat that played sports other than football in college on scholarship when we think about all of the other sports besides football and basketball that often travel in pretty good style compared to everyone else it is hard for us to understand what these folks at TCU are thinking (Yes, the “student-athlete” is always put first!  NOT!), but then again just shows how Absurd the BCS really is and anyone with a working brain knows that BCS is about one thing and one thing only.

Money and Power or as Gordon Gekko told Bud Fox in Wall Street:

“It’s all about bucks, kid. The rest is conversation.”

It is our opinion that the Greedy Bastards behind the Bogus and Un-American BCS, including this clown disguised as a college president in E. Gordon Gee don’t give two rips about “student-athletes.”  The BCS is about taking as much money as possible out of the pockets of Americans while at the same time holding onto power and keeping the NCAA at bay and away from college football because if the NCAA ever got their hands on college football all Americans would find out what a Complete and Utter Fraud the BCS really is and who is really going out the backdoor with all the money that never gets anywhere close to college athletic programs or supports “student-athletes.”

Yes, some of that money goes to kiss the ass of E. Gordon Gee and other college administrators at college football games and golf outings which helps to insure they will be onboard with the Greedy Bastard behind the BCS, but it is only small-change compared to what never gets anywhere near a college campus.  Also don’t forget that the NCAA when running postseason tournaments to decide legitimate national championships does not waste money throwing cocktail parties to kiss the asses of the E. Gordon Gee’s of the world and “Wa-La” you have the REAL REASON that Gee wants to kept the Bogus BCS train rolling.  You see, Pretty Boy E. Gordon Gee rather likes getting his ass kissed and money being spent on him, especially when it is someone else’s money and if that money would be better spent on intercollegiate athletics than throwing cocktail parties, and it would, E. Gordon Gee and his ilk could care less.  Yes, that is our opinion Pretty Boy Gee and here is what we think about Your Sorry Ass Elitist and Very Un-American opinions:

Oh, that felt good!

That reality, which will be opened up to the American People to see and understand (Count on that BCS Bastards either in the next two years or certainly after January 2013), makes the people that support the Bogus and Un-American even bigger CHUMPS than the Big 12 schools that got taken to the cleaners to by the Boys in Austin and both groups have gotten played like First-Class Fools and these people are so Stupid that they blame people other than the one’s that are picking their pockets!

Or as Paul Newman’s character Henry Gondorff says at the end of The Sting after ripping off Doyle Lonnegan for $500K:

“Nice con, Hickey.”

What is that Texas Athletics Network going to generate for the Boys in Austin?

15 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR!

Longhorn TV network could pay UT $15 million a year

Oh, that was the CON of the century that the Boys in Austin ran on the CHUMPS in the Big 12 and just like Doyle Lonnegan they don’t even know that they got Conned and Big Time!

The Rich Rodriguez Buyout Difference Between Now and January 1, 2011 is $1.5 Million Dollars – OK, we all know that now but what is the real back story?

After writing  in this Blog about what is quickly becoming the “Rich Rodriguez $1.5 Million Dollar Difference Buyout Debacle” at the University of Michigan (Rich Rodriguez’s buyout before January 1, 2011 is $4 million and in the New Year is $2.5 million) a good friend of ours in the state of Michigan called and reminded us that there are a lot of people at the University of Michigan that feel like they got “jobbed” when Rodriguez came over from West Virginia and the Boys and Girls in Ann Arbor had to pick up $2.5 million of Rodriguez’s $4.0 buyout with WVU!  Here’s the story on that Rodriguez to Michigan debacle from July 9, 2008:

Michigan to pay $2.5M, Rodriguez $1.5M to satisfy WVU buyout

Our good friend in the state of Michigan reminded us that if the Boys and Girls in Ann Arbor fired Rich Rodriguez right now they would have to pay him….

$4 MILLION Right Now

…and they paid $2.5 MILLION  in 2008 to get him bought out of his West Virginia contract…

….and if you count the $2.75 MILLION DOLLARS that Michigan has paid Rodriguez every year for his three years at UM ($8.25 Million Dollars) then the Boys and Girls in Ann Arbor would have handed over to Rodriguez:

$8.25 Million Dollars in Salary for 3 years of work

$2.50 Million Dollars for Rodriguez’s buyout from West Virginia

$4.00 Million Dollars for Rodriguez’s buyout right now from Michigan

Total Paid to Rich Rodriguez by Michigan if they fired him right now for three years of work:

$14.75 MILLION DOLLARS!

Is America a great country or what?

15 WINS….$14.75 MILLION DOLLARS = $983,333 PER WIN!

Is America a great country or what?

Hell, that’s almost Wall Street money where you blow up the American Economy and 8 Million Americans get thrown out of their jobs due to your selfishness and greed and your BONUSES GO UP!

If Michigan waits until January 1, 2011 to fire Rich Rodriguez they will save $1.5 MILLION DOLLARS of that $14.75 MILLION DOLLARS and for someone like Michigan AD Dave Brandon saving $1.5 Million Dollars is…..

A WHOLE LOT OF PIZZAS!

Coaches Hot Seat Power Playoff Poll, Post-Week 13

The Coaches Hot Seat Red Phone rang over the weekend from “that area code” and “Mr. X” passed along a very good suggestion for seeding a 16-Team Postseason Tournament and which conference champions would get automatic entries into the Tournament and which conference champions would have to play their way in via qualifying games.  The suggestion from the “Mr. X” from “that area code” suggested that we use the final poll of the season and whichever conference had the lowest ranked or unranked team would have to play there way into the Postseason Tournament and the top conferences that were ranked would get their champions automatically into the Tournament as would the 7 Wildcard Teams.

OK, that sounded like a pretty good idea to us so if we used the Post Week 13 Coaches Hot Seat Power Playoff Poll we would end up with the following conference arrangements:

Conference Champions in the 2010 Postseason Tournament:  SEC, Big 12, WAC, Pac-10, ACC, MWC, Big Ten

Conference Champions that would have to play each other to get into the Postseason Tournament:  Sun Belt, C-USA, MAC, Big East

Wildcard Teams:  7 Wildcard Teams

Using the above new format below is Coaches Hot Seat Power Playoff Poll.  As you can see below we use the CHS Power Playoff Poll to seed a 16-Team Postseason Championship Tournament IF the season had ended after Week 13.  This Postseason Playoff Tournament is seeded with the 6 Conference Champions, the Winners of the Two Conference Play-In Games, along with 7 At-Large Teams that are selected via their ranking in the poll but would ideally in a postseason tournament be selected and seeded by a committee similar to the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

1.  Oregon*   (11-0)

2.  TCU*   (12-0)

3.  Auburn*  (12-0)

4.  Stanford#   (12-0)

5.  Michigan State*   (11-1)

6.  Wisconsin#   (11-1)

7.  Ohio State#  (11-1)

8.  Boise State#   (11-1)

9.  Arkansas#   (10-2)

10.  Oklahoma#   (10-2)

11.  Virginia Tech*   (10-2)

12.  LSU#   (10-2)

13.  Nebraska*   (10-2)

14.  Nevada*  (10-1)

15.  Missouri   (10-2)

16.  Oklahoma State   (10-2)

17.   South Carolina  (9-3)

18.   Alabama   (9-3)

19.  Florida State   (9-3)

20.  Texas A&M   (9-3)

*Conference Champs

#At-Large Teams

Big East Champion – UConn*

C-USA Champion – UCF*

Sun Belt Champion  – FIU*

MAC Champion – Northern Illinois*

We now use the above Power Playoff Poll to seed a 16-team college football postseason playoff tournament, although we would prefer that a committee similar to the committee for the NCAA basketball tournament be used to pick the 7 wild card teams and then seed the 6 conference champions, the spots for the Winners of the Two Play-In Games and the 7 wild card teams in the postseason tournament.  Below are the First Round Games if the season had ended after Week 13.

First Round Games – Friday/Saturday December 17-18, 2010

Michigan State – Big Ten Champion

TBD – MAC/Sun Belt Play-In Game Winner

————————————————————

Oregon– Pac-10 Champion

Virginia Tech – ACC Champion

————————————————————

Oklahoma – #6 At-Large Team

Arkansas – #5 At-Large Team

————————————————————

Nebraska – Big 12 Champion

Wisconsin – #2 At-Large Team

————————————————————

TCU – MWC Champion

Ohio State – #3 At-Large Team

————————————————————

Stanford – #1 At-Large Team

Nevada – WAC Champion

————————————————————

LSU – #7 At-Large Team

Boise State – #4 At-Large Team

————————————————————

TBD – Big East/C-USA Play-In Game Winner

Auburn – SEC Champion

————————————————————

Great 8 – Second Round Games – Thursday/Friday – December 23 – 24, 2010

Final 4 – Third Round Games – Saturday – January 1, 2011

National Championship Game – Saturday – January 8, 2011

Now that would settle a Legitimate National Champion in College Football but we would have to get the Candy Asses out of the game that rather like sitting around on their asses poolside instead of winning and earning the National Title on the field of play.  Meaningless Exhibition Games vs. the above 16-Team Postseason Playoff    Hmmmmmmm….. Yes, you would have to be a Real Candy Ass to choose the Meaningless Exhibition Games but never underestimate how Gutless some people can be, especially when it come to laying around a pool and going to theme parks!

Interesting to note how many teams from each conference end up in this 16-team postseason tournament if the season had ended after Week 13:

SEC – Auburn, LSU, Arkansas

Big Ten – Wisconsin, Ohio State, Michigan State

Pac-10 – Oregon, Stanford

Big 12 – Nebraska, Oklahoma

WAC – Boise State, Nevada

MWC – TCU

ACC – Virginia Tech

Big East – UConn

C-USA – UCF

Sun Belt – FIU

MAC – Northern Illinois

2 teams chosen by Bogus human and computer polls or a 16-team tournament that has the above first round games and has at least one team from every conference represented.  Hmmmmm, is there really anyone with a working brain that would choose the 2 teams and the Bogus BCS?  Didn’t think so.

The Great Leslie Nielsen, RIP 1926 – 2010

The Great Leslie Nielsen passed on yesterday and we would be remiss if we didn’t mention one of the great character actors in Hollywood history.  Just get a gander at Nielsen’s great acting career at his Wikipedia page:  Leslie Nielson

Godspeed to you Leslie Nielson!

It’s Championship Week and the Boys In Big 12 Country Are Spinning Tales About What Really Went Down Last Summer When the Big 12 Conference Imploded – Sorry, These Stories About Nebraska Destroying the Big 12 By Leaving For the Big Ten Are Complete and Utter Frauds – What Actually Happened Is Out There For People That Want To Know and Instead of Looking Towards and Blaming the Folks In Lincoln the Big 12 Boys’ Focus Should Be Squarely On AUSTIN, TEXAS! – A Little “Woodward and Bernstein” Work, Some Shoe Leather and We Now Believe We Know Exactly What Happened and It May Just Be Time To Blow The Lid Off the Horseshit Of What Really Happened to the Big 12 Last Summer! – Yes, the Boys In Austin Should Be Worried Because This Is A Sad, Greedy, Conniving and Sordid Tale! – Got 5-7 Longhorns? Why Yes You Do! – Memo to Texas: KARMA Sucks Boys! – The Post Week 13 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings – The Top 10 Coaches on the Post Week 13 CHS Rankings

Championship Week Has Arrived and the Bogus Stories of What Really Happened to the Big 12 Last Summer Are Starting to Appear Again – No, Nebraska Is Not To Blame – The Blame For Why the Big 12 Imploded Lies In One Place and One Place Only:  Austin, Texas

With Championship Week set to get underway there are a lot of stories being written this week about the feud between Nebraska and the teams that have been left behind in the new Big 12 Minus 2 with Colorado and the Huskers leaving and Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman is on message with the propaganda and misinformation as well:

Big 12 crowd humming “Boomer Sooner”

“The Sooner Schooner gets crowded this week. Covered wagon? Bandwagon is more like it.

Oklahoma football, the terror of Middle America since, oh, about 1948, is the sentimental favorite in the Big 12 Championship Game. The people’s choice.

OU plays Nebraska on Saturday night in Jerry Jones’ Arlington spaceship, and fans from Waterloo, Iowa, to Alpine, Texas, will take crimson over scarlet. Will pull for the Big Red South over the Big Red North.

And Big 12 administrators, who outwardly will display all the proper decorum, will be humming Boomer Sooner under their breath.

Such is the fractured relationship of Nebraska and its soon-to-be ex-league, you couldn’t blame Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe for telling the Cornhuskers, don’t leave, just leave mad.”

Yes, Berry, that’s the story that the folks in the Big 12 want everyone to believe but Tramel’s story is a Complete and Utter Fraud.

No, Berry, the actual story is not Nebraska dashing away to the Big Ten just after the Big 12 meeting this past summer imploded but rather the folks at Texas working with the Pac-10 conference for SEVERAL MONTHS to create a new Super Conference involving several Big 12 teams which is what actually forced Nebraska’s hand and led to their move to the Big Ten Conference.

Newsflash to the Idiots:  That is what actually happened and the Big 12 commish and the people at what is left in the Big 12 – Minus Colorado and Nebraska are just deluding themselves if they blame the folks at Nebraska for just looking out for what is best for their school and the athletics teams.

As for what really happened before, during and after the Big 12 conference meetings earlier this year that led to Nebraska heading to the Big Ten and Colorado to the Pac-10 we believe we know completely what happened that led to near death experience of the Big 12 conference and the people in the Big 12 should not be pointing their fingers at Nebraska but rather should be focusing like a laser beam on Austin, Texas because that is where the real debauchery and behind the scenes maneuvering really went on in this entire Big 12 debacle.

A month or so ago a member of Coaches Hot Seat was in Austin, Texas to visit a few of his business clients and he took an afternoon off to chase down a few leads that we had developed on what was really driving the Texas and several other Big 12 teams to combine with the Pac-10 to form a Super Conference story which was begun by Chip Brown of Orange Bloods on June 3, 2010:

Pac-10 set to invite six from Big 12

“The Big 12 meetings are reaching their climax Thursday and Friday in Kansas City with the presidents and chancellors from the league coming together to discuss pressing issues, including sites for championships. (Look for the Big 12 title game in football to stay at Cowboys Stadium for the next three years.)

But when it comes to possible realignment, the Big 12 meetings may be premature.

Why?

Because it appears the Pac-10, which has its meetings in San Francisco starting this weekend, is prepared to make a bold move and invite Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado to join its league, according to multiple sources close to the situation.

Left out would be Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska and Missouri.

Messages left with Pac-10 officials by Orangebloods.com on Thursday were not immediately returned.

The six teams from the Big 12 would be in an eight-team division with Arizona and Arizona State. The other eight-team division would consist of USC, UCLA, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State.”

Notice Berry Tramel of The Oklahoma and other Clueless people in the Big 12 Minus Nebraska and Colorado now that this story leaves Nebraska out of this new 16 teams Super Conference and is there really anyone that thinks the people running Nebraska after reading the above story at the Big 12 meetings that they wouldn’t have immediately started looking for a conference that was not imploding?  Please, GET A CLUE!

No, the Big 12 didn’t almost implode because of Nebraska making a decision to move to the Big Ten Conference.  The Big 12 almost imploded because of some very selfish and greedy people in Austin, Texas that played the Big 12 Conference and the rest of the Big 12 for chumps and ended up getting exactly what they wanted.  That being a Big 12 without Nebraska that makes them the Big Boy on the block and an exclusive Texas Athletics Network now with ESPN, but as is almost always the case with Karma, the Selfish and Greedy Boys in Austin got a very good pop in the Karma-mouth during the 2010 season by falling to a Pitiful 5 – 7 record that any random person off the streets of Dallas could have coached Texas to this year!

Getting back to our CHS member in Austin, Texas on business he took an afternoon off from work and used the leads that we have developed in the past few months and did some good ole’ fashioned pound-the-pavement and shoe leather work and we now believe we know exactly who was leaking the information to Chip Brown of Orange Bloods about this new Super Conference involving Pac-10 and Big 12 schools and also who leaked all of the subsequent info that kept the story going for several days in the summer.

Yes, we believe we know who was leaking this information and why he was leaking it and we also believe that the person that was leaking the info knows that we know who he is and what was really behind these stories that Chip Brown was putting out.

Yes, several of us here at Coaches Hot Seat picked up some very useful skills while serving this great country of ours in the US military and those skills were put to great use in helping to bring down the Soviet Union and Berlin Wall and those skills are really no different than what Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein used to bring down the criminals in the Nixon White House including President Nixon himself.

Yes, we believe we know what really went down and why it went down before, during and after the Big 12 meetings this past summer and we are going to debate tonight why watching the 49ers and Cardinals (Go 49ers!) if we should just go ahead and turn Coaches Hot Seat into a media organization 4 months early and set the record straight for Berry Tramel, the Big 12 conference people and everyone else that THINKS they know what really happened.  In other words:  The Clueless Idiots!

Certainly, if we keep seeing Bogus stories like the one that Berry Tramel wrote in The Oklahoman today, Big 12 crowd humming “Boomer Sooner”, it may be time to blow the Horseshit off the plains of Texas and get the truth down on the record!

Yes, that should make the conniving and greedy folks in Austin, Texas very Damn nervous because it really is beyond time for the Bullshit to Walk and the Truth to Talk because as of right now what the public knows about the Big 12 conference implosion last summer is total and complete HORSESHIT!

Stay Tuned and as for the folks in Austin….Your Absolute Horseshit May Just Be Tossed onto the Table for Everyone to See Just To Teach the Arrogant Boys a lesson or two!

Isn’t very Damn Ironic that Berry Tramel of The Oklahoman wrote this story about people in the Big 12 “humming” for Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game when everyone that was paying attention knew during the time that the Big 12 was imploding that the Sooners were little more than an ole’ hound dog following around and taking their orders from the Boys in Austin, Texas!

Please, Berry Tramel and everyone else in Big; 12 Country…….GET A CLUE!

Post Week 13 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

Top 10 Coaches on the Post Week 13 CHS Rankings

The Great Johnny Cash…..Crank It Up!

1.  Rich Rodriguez, Michigan – Rich Rodriguez has completed three full seasons at Michigan and it is fairly easy to see just what Rich Rod has been able to put up on the board:

2008 – 3 – 9

2009 – 5 – 7

2010 – 7 – 5

Overall Record:  15 – 21  (.417)

Overall Big Ten Record:  6 – 18  (.250)

Now let’s compare Rodriguez’s performance to the 3 head coaches that preceded Rodriguez at Michigan:

Lloyd Carr, 13 seasons

Overall Record:  122 – 40  (.753)

Big Ten Record:  81 – 23  (.779)

Gary Moeller, 5 seasons

Overall Record:  44 – 13 – 3  (.733)

Big Ten Record:  30 – 8 – 2  (.750)

Bo Schembechler, 21 seasons

Overall Record:  194 – 48 – 5  (.785)

Big Ten Record:  148 – 24 – 3  (.846)

Clearly, by the standards of Michigan football over the past 40 years Rich Rodriguez has not come anywhere close to living up to what the Michigan fans expect from their football program and the only question to be asked now is if anyone involved in the decision making at UM thinks that Rich Rodriguez is going to return Michigan football to where it has been under the 3 previous head coaches.

If the answer to that question is “Yes” then Rodriguez should be kept on for another year.

If the answer to that question is “NO” then Rodriguez should be fired right now and forget about the $1.5 million dollar buyout difference between now and January 1, 2011 because letting RichRod dangle in the win will hurt recruiting and firing Rodriguez after the bowl game would hurt recruiting.  In fact, letting Rich Rodriguez dangle in this spot is only hurting the Michigan football team but then for someone to understand that he would have had to been working in college athletics in his life instead of tossing pizzas in the air!

If the AD at Michigan Dave Brandon really thinks that he can wait until after the bowl game, which appears to be the Insight Bowl on December 28 for the Wolverines, to make a decision on Rodriguez when a meaningless exhibition game that means nothing at all for evaluation purposes is really the best thing to do then that should tell everyone that if Brandon does fire Rodriguez after January 1 that his main concern is saving $1.5 million dollars – not what was best for Michigan football.

What does all of this come down to?

Who’s that at the door?  No, not Domino’s and No not the Michigan AD…..yet!

Your move Pizza Boy!

2.  Neil Callaway, UAB – After 4 seasons at UAB Neil Callaway is now 15 – 33 overall and the Blazers are 11 – 21 in C-USA.  Is that kind of record acceptable for the folks that run UAB athletics?  Who the Hell knows and that should tell everyone all they need to know about UAB athletics and football!  No, UAB will never be able to compete with Alabama and Auburn in football, but there is no reason that UAB cannot be a lot more competitive in Conference USA and as always the biggest problem at UAB or any football program is that Callaway has failed to light a fire under the football team and if there is no fire….there are never very many wins!  What UAB needs to do is to find someone that can light a fire and we mean a Blazing roaring fire because the smoldering ruins that is now UAB football is about to go out is costing the entire athletics department millions of dollars a year only to prop-up a pitiful football team.  Either get the fire lit or close the team down and concentrate on basketball!

Memo to Athletic Directors in College Athletics:  When hiring a head football coach you should be asking yourself:

“If I hire this guy as our head coach will he light a fire under this school’s football team?”

If not, move on.

When hiring a guy to run the college athletics IT department hire the guy that can best run the IT department.

When hiring a head football coach you better be looking to hire someone that can light a fire under the football team, the fan base, the alumni, the local community and everyone Damn else and if the person you are considering will not LIGHT THE DAMN FIRE…

Move on!

3.  Mike Locksley, New Mexico – There was a report last week by Sports By Brooks that UNM does not have the money to buyout Mike Locksley even if they wanted to, Stuck, State Refuses to Buyout 2 – 21 Lobos Coach, so maybe that means Locksley will be back for the 2011 season.  There is nothing wrong with giving Locksley another year to get things turned around but he and his Lobos are going to have to start winning some football games because a 2 – 22 record over two seasons is beyond awful and is actually and unmitigated disaster for a football program that averaged just below 6 wins a season under its last two coaches Rocky Long and Dennis Franchione.  We guess the essential lesson here is that a bad economy is not bad for everyone because it may end up being the state of New Mexico running a big deficit and having to cut higher education funding that keeps Mike Locksley in his $750K per year job!  Is this a great country or what?

4.  Houston Nutt, Mississippi – Only 4 seasons removed from being run out of Arkansas after putting up an 8 – 4 record in his last year with the Hogs, Houston Nutt must be having lots of flashbacks after his Ole Miss Rebels followed up two 9 wins seasons with a 4 – 8 record in 2010.  The real disaster number of Nutt and Ole Miss in 2010 is the 1 – 7 record in the SEC which is a debacle for a team that just a few  years ago was beating Alabama and lots of other SEC teams and had a pretty good handle on the Egg Bowl rivalry.  Certainly, there must be some people in Oxford this morning thinking that they hope Mississippi State HC Dan Mullen takes one of the jobs that are open or the immediate future for the Rebels could be very ugly indeed!

Houston Nutt at Mississippi

Overall Record:  22 – 16

SEC Record:  10 – 14

The above Overall and SEC records are about average or a little above average for Ole Miss over the past couple of decades but Houston Nutt is going to be held to a higher standard than Ed Orgeron or David Cutcliffe because he won a decent amount of games at Arkansas and the folks at Ole Miss believe that he should be able to do the same thing in Oxford.

Houston Nutt is back on the Hot Seat and that means only one thing:

Time to go back to work!

5.  Rick Neuheisel, UCLA – We are always on the lookout here at Coaches Hot Seat markers on the road to the downfall of the American Republic because we have families to feed and businesses to run and if we are going to have to get a lot more sales from overseas business in the coming years because the Idiots and Buffoons destroy our country then we should be Eyes Wide Open!  Believe us though one doesn’t have to look hard to find the handiwork of the Fools in our own nation that seem to be working overtime to undermine the Republic.

Before we get to Rick Neuheisel what about the Bozos that are supposed to protecting the secrets of our nation but have allowed a low level private to download all manner of sensitive documents that he evidently turned over to the website Wikileaks.  Yes, when you have Idiots and Buffoons driving the train you end up with headlines in the UK’s Daily Mail like this…

Labour minister chased women like a ‘hound dog’, David Cameron ‘lacks depth’, and the ‘inappropriate’ Prince Andrew: WikiLeaks’ damning revelations

Oh, that’s just a great and very entertaining reading as well until one realizes that these are the cables of the Buffoons and Idiots that are supposed to be running OUR country!

Getting back to Rick Neuheisel we have found yet another comment that portends the downfall of the American Republic and this quote from Neuheisel shows just how dumbed down expectations have become in college football have become and shows completely the Idiocy of the college football postseason.  The Los Angeles Times has this sordid tale:

With bowl dreams dashed, UCLA looks to 2011

“UCLA was bowl bound and gagged.

All the Bruins needed to do was win two of their last three games, and they held second-quarter leads against Washington and Arizona State. UCLA collapsed in both games and will be home for the holidays.

So the Bruins lurch into Saturday’s game against USC working toward next season. What that will bring is unclear. When asked whether this season’s relapse made a bowl game a must in 2011, Coach Rick Neuheisel tap-danced around the answer.

We certainly want to be in the postseason,” Neuheisel said after the 55-34 loss to Arizona State on Friday. Pressed on the matter, he said, “I understand you’re trying to get me to say something so you can hold me to it.”

At some point, others may be asking the same question — fans, big-check boosters, athletic department administrators. But on Friday it was only the media, of which Neuheisel said, pleasantly enough, “I know what your job is. My job is to do the best I can, with what we have, and continue to build what we have through recruiting.”

But just what 2011 means to Bruins fans, who have not seen a Pacific 10 Conference championship and Rose Bowl since 1998, is hard for Neuheisel to define.”

What the Hell?

Newsflash to Rick Neuheisel and all other college head coaches:  In an era when it takes a disastrous season to not get a college football team into a bowl game if you are head coach at UCLA and you cannot guarantee that your team will be in a bowl game next season then what the Hell is the point and why is Rick Neuheisel still the head coach for the Bruins?

Here is what Rick Neuheisel should have answered when asked or not if UCLA would go to a bowl in 2011:

“If we don’t go to a bowl game in 2011 I will be fired and I should be fired!  If UCLA doesn’t go to a bowl in 2011 when any average or mediocre team can get into a bowl game that would mean that the Bruins only went to 1 bowl in my 4 seasons with me on the job and if Dan Guererro didn’t fire me after that I would quit out of embarrassment.”

Here’s another newsflash for Rick Neuheisel and UCLA fans:

The coach that preceded Neuheisel at UCLA Karl Dorrell put up the following records:

2003 – 6 – 7 – Silicon Valley Bowl

2004 – 6 – 6 – Las Vegas Bowl

2005 – 10 – 2 – Sun Bowl

2006 – 7 – 6 – Emerald Bowl

2007 – 6 – 6 – Las Vegas Bowl

5 seasons…..5 bowl games.

Rick Neuheisel

3 seasons….1 bowl game

Yes, Rick Neuheisel is on the Hot Seat and he had better figure out pretty Damn quick what the problems are with the Bruins or Rick’s coaching career is going to be over and his broadcasting career will begin.  Hey, being the color man on college football game isn’t that bad of a gig, but when you are not even 50 years old yet being done with your primary career can’t be a good thing!

6.  Bob Toledo, Tulane – In 4 seasons at Tulane Bob Toledo’s record is:

Overall Record:  13 – 35

C-USA Record:  7 – 27

Are the above records good enough for Bob Toledo to return for a 5 th season at Tulane?  We really don’t have a clue to what the folks at Tulane are thinking but there is no reason that the Green Wave shouldn’t be winning more games especially in C-USA.  7 C-USA conference wins in 4 seasons?  That is pitiful!

7.  Jeff Tedford, California – It has been quite a fall for Jeff Tedford and the Cal Bears from their 10 – 3 2006 season because since then Jeff and his Boys in Berkeley have put up:

2007 – 7 – 6

2008 – 9 – 4

2009 – 8  – 5

2010 – 5 – 7

Overall Record 2007 – 2010 – 29 – 22

Pac-10 Record 2007 – 2010 – 17 – 19

No, the above records since the 2006 season are not good enough for someone making $2 plus Million Dollars a year especially when Cal-Berkeley the school is cutting millions of dollars out of the classroom every year.

The loss to a very woeful Washington team that got blasted by Stanford and Oregon was very bad news for the Bears and the Cal alumni that we know are incensed that the Huskies were even in the game but losing to UW in the last game in the old Cal Memorial Stadium was beyond the pale as far as they are concerned.

Yes, Jeff Tedford by his team’s play has assured himself of being on the Hot Seat for the entire 2010-2011 offseason and that means that the 2011 season will be make or break in Berkeley because these losses, especially in Pac-10/12 play cannot continue!

8.  Dennis Erickson, Arizona State – After beating a pitiful UCLA team on Saturday in four seasons at Arizona State Dennis Erickson has put up records of:

Overall Record – 24 – 24

Pac-10 Record – 16 – 19

Here are Dennis Erickson’s 4 seasons at ASU:

2007 – 10 – 3

2008 – 5 – 7

2009 – 4 – 8

2010 – 5 – 6

Yes, with a loss at Arizona on Saturday ASU under Dennis Erickson will only have 1 winning season out of 4 and NO that would not equal the building of a…

“Rose Bowl-caliber program”

…as Lisa Love recently characterized the ASU football team.

Dennis Erickson is just very lucky that he not still at Miami because the ‘Canes ran Randy Shannon out of town after he put up 3 out of 4 winning seasons and we guess that means that Arizona State has a lot lower standards than Miami!

Memo to Dennis Erickson and Lisa Love:  Got Hot Seat?  Why, yes you do because we are putting ASU AD Lisa Love on the Hot Seat as well!

9.  Paul Wulff, Washington State – In three seasons at Washington State Paul Wulff has put up the following records:

Overall Record:  5 – 31

Pac-10 Record:  2 – 24

Oh, that is pitiful!  Who are those 5 wins over?

2008 – I-AA Portland State, Washington

2009 – SMU

2010 – I-AA Montana State, Oregon State

Two wins over I-AA schools, 1 win over a C-USA school, 2 wins over Pac-10 teams with losing records…

Oh, that is pitiful!

The WSU Cougs have Washington at home on Saturday in the Apple Cup and believe it or not if Wulff and WSU get a win in this game Wulff may be back for the 2011 season!

Our only question:  Does Washington State AD Bill Moos needs us to overnight some paper up to Pullman to get an extension to Paul Wulff’s contract printed out or maybe we could charter a plane and deliver the paper personally if Bill likes?

Give the Huskies Hell Cougs!

10.  Dave Wannstedt, Pitt – How about this headline in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review after the Backyard Brawl loss to West Virginia?

Wannstedt must answer for this

“Dave Wannstedt arrived at Pitt with such bravado.

He talked tough about restoring tradition and winning national championships. That act vanished Friday at Heinz Field, along with the Panthers’ Big East championship hopes.

The Pitt coach had no answers following a 35-10 loss to West Virginia in the 103rd Backyard Brawl and didn’t waste anyone’s time trying. His post-game news conference lasted all of 3 minutes, 59 seconds.

“Obviously disappointing,” he said.

Disgraceful might be a better description.”

OUCH!  After being only one defensive stop from winning the Big East title in 2009 against Cincinnati Wannstedt’s Panthers have flailed around in 2010 and have put a 6 – 5 record up on the board and the natives in Pittsburgh are getting very restless

Dave Wannstedt’s Records at Pitt

Overall Record:  41 – 31

Big East Record:  23 – 18

Yes, we can understand why the folks in Pittsburgh might believe that Dave Wannstedt should be on the Hot Seat.

Uhhhhh, Dave.  We would recommend beating Cincinnati on Saturday!

Post Week 13 Statements, Observations, Questions – Randy Shannon Fired at Miami – What Got Randy Shannon Fired Was His ACC Record Over 4 Seasons….and the Loss to USF! – Florida Gators Offense…..Sucks! – Does Urban Meyer Understand That? – If Not…THE FLORIDA GATORS OFFENSE SUCKS! – Michigan AD Dave Brandon Makes An Odd Comment to TV Sideline Reporter About Rich Rodriguez – Oh, Rodriguez’s Buyout Goes Down $1.5 Million Dollars on January 1, 2010! – Who Negotiated That Contract? J. O’Rourke and His New Book Don’t Vote It Only Encourages the Bastards! – Very Funny Speech By P. J. O’Rourke

Post Week 13 Statements, Observations, Questions

Randy Shannon, Miami – There has been a lot of pressure building under the surface at Miami for over a year now with a lot of former ‘Canes players leading the charge against Randy Shannon.  Throw in a few influential boosters and an unexplainable loss to USF to end the season and BOOM you have a head coach firing on your hands and certainly if Shannon has been paying attention he had to see this coming.  An interesting question is what if Miami had beaten USF by two touch downs would Randy Shannon still be head coach at Miami today?

Our answer to the above question:  Yes.

The biggest thing working against Randy Shannon wasn’t really his overall record of 28 – 22 which is somewhat explainable considering the program that Randy took over at Miami, but rather Shannon’s indefensible record in the ACC over the past 4 years….

16 – 16

…which is a conference filled with mediocre to average football teams.  It is just an impossibility that Randy Shannon could stay at Miami for very long without a stronger showing in the ACC and 4 years without an ACC Conference title game appearance is really unacceptable because after all we are talking about the University of Miami football team….right?

Let’s see what the standard is at Miami for Randy Shannon and for anyone that would follow him with the ‘Canes:

Win/Loss Records of Last Six Miami Head Coaches

Randy Shannon, 4 seasons – 28 – 22  (.560)

Larry Coker, 6 seasons -  60 – 15  (.800)

Butch Davis, 6 seasons – 51 – 20  (.718)

Dennis Erickson, 6 seasons – 63 – 9  (.875)

Jimmy Johnson, 5 seasons – 52 – 9  (.852)

Howard Schnellenberger, 5 seasons – 41 – 15  (.732)

Clearly, if the University of Miami still has a goal to be a national title contender in college football then Randy Shannon’s record at Miami has not performed anywhere near that standard and certainly he lags far behind the 5 head coaches that preceded him at the school.

Who might replace Randy Shannon at Miami?  Here is an initial list that CHS put together last night:

Mike Bellotti, Former Oregon HC

Troy Calhoun, Air Force

Larry Fedora, Southern Miss HC

Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern HC

Bud Foster, Virginia Tech DC

Al Golden, Temple HC

Jon Gruden, Former NFL HC

Jim Harbaugh, Stanford HC

Brady Hoke, San Diego State HC

Jeff Jagodzinski, Former Boston College HC

Mike Leach, Former Texas Tech HC

Gus Malzahn, Auburn OC

Les Miles, LSU HC

Dan Mullen, Mississippi State HC

Gary Patterson, TCU HC

Chris Petersen, Boise State HC

Bobby Petrino, Arkansas HC

Mark Richt, Georgia HC

Rich Rodriguez, Michigan HC

Bob Stoops, Oklahoma HC

Kevin Sumlin, Houston HC

Tommy Tuberville, Texas Tech HC

Brent Venables, Oklahoma DC

Kevin Wilson, Oklahoma OC

One issue the University of Miami is that it is going to have as its goals to win conference and national titles then it needs to pay a market wage to its head coach and the $1.35 million a year that Randy Shannon was being paid is at least $1 million less than the head coach at Miami should be making.  If Miami wants to attract a top head coach then it needs to dramatically increase its salary for that position and if they are planning on paying less than $2 million a year then Miami is wasting its time making a change in this spot.

The Florida Gators 2010 Debacle – In what seems like a long time ago there were several people in the media and us here at Coaches Hot Seat that criticized the Florida offense even during the Gators’ 4 – 0 start to the 2010 season when they got wins over Miami (OH), South Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky.  The one’s out here among the Unwashed Masses that were commenting honestly on what they were seeing on the field with the Gators’ offense, careless mistakes, sloppy play, very average or even bad QB play, no cohesion in the playcalling, etc., were dismissed out of hand by Urban Meyer and others at UF but since that 4 – 0 start Florida went 3 – 5 to finish the season and maybe there are some people that are in the bunker in Gainesville that are starting to listen to what is obvious to everyone else:  The Florida Offense Sucks!  To see just how bad the Florida coaching staff overestimated the 2010 Florida offense and QB John Brantley let’s go back to an article written on August 30 of this year just before the season started:

Brantley all grown up – Gainesville Sun, Robbie Andreu

“Watching John Brantley confidently and efficiently lead the Florida offense in a recent practice, Urban Meyer felt compelled to send Brantley’s father, former UF quarterback John Brantley III, a text message.

“I’ll share it with you, because I’m awful proud of this,” Meyer said at his weekly news conference Monday. “I said, ‘Enjoy the ride. Your son has grown up to be a man.’

“I hope I get that same text some day from someone. That’s really cool. It’s the truth. What he’s done here in the last year has been exactly what we needed to have happen, and that is he’s grown up. He’s the leader of this team, and he’s Johnny Brantley. That’s good enough for us.”

Johnny Brantley is Florida’s starting quarterback now. After spending three long years in Tim Tebow’s shadow, he’s stepped out and taken over. And he has done it the way Meyer hoped he would, by growing into a team leader and taking command of the offense and earning the respect of those around him.

This is Brantley’s team now, and he’s ready to start that ride.

“I’m feeling really good,” Brantley said. “We’ve just been through a long camp and we’re ready to get out there and start playing again, start making our way to Atlanta (for the SEC Championship Game).”

Really?  Sorry, the Florida Gators have barely been an average SEC team in 2010 and anyone that has watched the Gators play this season knows that John Brantley is not remotely ready to lead the Gators or any other I-A college football program right now.  In fact, John Brantley would be behind Texas QB Garrett Gilbert on the Coaches Hot Seat flag football team QB depth chart as the No. 5 QB if he showed up for practice tomorrow and that reality has to scare the Hell out of the Florida coaches because we don’t know if they even have a QB on campus that is qualified to play at the I-A level.

What should the Florida Gators do now?  Well, there is talk about rebuilding the Florida football team but it is our contention that if Florida had a top quality QB in their offense in 2010 and had better playcalling they would have no more than 2 losses right now and that means that Florida had better find someone that can lead the Florida offense in 2011 or all the “rebuilding” is going to be a complete waste of time!

Rich Rodriguez to be fired at Michigan?  Strange comment from Michigan AD Dave Brandon

Before the Michigan – Ohio State game the ABC crew calling the game went down to the sideline reporter who had talked to Michigan AD Dave Brandon and this reporter said (paraphrasing):

“Rich Rodriguez like all coaches will be evaluated after the season is over meaning the entire season which would include the bowl game.”

What the Hell?  Oh, that’s right, Rich Rodriguez’s buyout drops from $4 million to $2.5 million after January 1, 2011 which means the folks at Michigan that negotiate contracts including their high priced lawyers need to have someone tell them that the college football regular season ends around December 1 which is when you fire football coaches!  January 1 buyout?  Oh, that’s RICH!  Talk about dumb, that is beyond dumb and if Michigan waits until 12:01 on New Year’s Day to fire Rich Rodriguez then we know that these are very cheap people in Ann  Arbor!

If Rich Rodriguez is smart he will start asking for a commitment from AD Dave Brandon so that his “status” doesn’t start to effect recruiting because RichRod being left to hang out in the wind until a meaningless bowl game is played or until January 1, 2011 is beyond stupid and could really effect recruiting…..for real!

Memo to Dave Brandon:  Dave, if you are going to fire Rich Rodriguez go ahead and fire him and then fire the idiot attorney(s) that negotiated his contract.  If Michigan can’t raise the difference between $4 million and $2.5 million, $1.5 million dollars then Michigan athletics is done anyway!  What did that renovation to the Big House cost?  Hundreds of Million of Dollars?  $1.5 million dollars for Michigan athletics is chump change!

Michael Rosenberg of the Detroit Free Press has the wrap-up on the RichRod scenarios:

Michigan AD Dave Brandon must decide Rich Rodriguez’s fate quickly

“The subject is Rich Rodriguez, and it’s a divisive topic. But we should at least agree on this: Waiting until after Michigan’s bowl to announce that Rodriguez will return in 2011 is absolutely foolish.

Athletic director Dave Brandon doesn’t need another five weeks to gather information on this. He certainly doesn’t need to see what happens in a minor bowl against a B-list opponent.

If Brandon wants to keep Rodriguez, why put him in limbo? Why make him deal with media and fan speculation during a crucial recruiting period? Why add five more weeks of drama?

But if he wants to fire Rodriguez, then waiting until January makes some sense for three reasons:

1. On Jan. 1, Rodriguez’s buyout drops from $4 million to $2.5 million.

2. Jim Harbaugh, the best candidate, could coach Stanford in a bowl before going back to his alma mater.

3. It would give Rodriguez a few weeks to find another job when nobody knows he is looking. Then everybody could save some face, especially after this 37-7 rout.”

Michael Rosenberg has the RichRod situation down cold and that means….

Your move Dave Brandon!

Congratulations to Jim Harbaugh and the Stanford Cardinal for an Epic 2010 football season!

A big group of us here at Coaches Hot Seat were at Stanford Stadium yesterday to see The Cardinal beat the Hell out of Oregon State and Stanford now stands tall with a 11 – 1 record in 2010 with the only loss being to the No. 1 team in the country the Oregon Ducks.

It is hard to imagine that there has been a more dramatic change in a college football program in recent years than the one that Jim Harbaugh has pulled off at Stanford in his 4 seasons on The Farm and now the only question going forward is if the Bastard Elites at Stanford can find a way to entice Harbaugh to stick around for awhile (We got to talk to a number of Stanford’s Bastards Elites before and during the Oregon State game and in between them eating brie and drinking Chardonnay they pretty much showed that don’t understand what they have in Jim Harbaugh and what he has accomplished with Stanford football!)

There are a lot of jobs that are better than Stanford football in both college football and the NFL and it must be frustrating as Hell to Harbaugh that his team can go 11 – 1 during the regular season and not have a chance to earn  a national championship on the Field of Play as is given to the top teams in ever other sport in intercollegiate athletics so just because of the Bogus BCS Harbaugh might jump over to the NFL or a better known college school to maybe get a shot at playing for a championship.

Certainly the amount of positive attention that Jim Harbaugh is generating for Stanford University and its athletics department is worth untold millions of dollars and even without football stadium sellouts there are lots more money being made off of apparel and other Stanford logo times since the football team has been on the rise.  Talking to a few dozen of the Bastards Elites at Stanford before and during the Oregon State game we do think there are a few people that realize that Harbaugh deserves a substantial pay raise and that an effort should be made by the Stanford powers-that-be to try and keep Jim around The Farm.  The wildcard though is that there are lots of Wacko Liberals at Stanford that make a lot of money both on and off the campus that will hypocritically claim that a football coach shouldn’t be making “2 million dollars a year” while at the same time those Wacko Liberals are making major back “consulting” (meaning doing very little real work for their compensation!) with Silicon Valley companies.

If someone put us in charge of Stanford tomorrow we would call up about a dozen of the wealthiest Stanford alumni that also have an interest in the Cardinal football team and tell them that each of them needed to pony up a couple of hundred thousand year so that Stanford could try and keep Jim Harbaugh and his great coaching staff around for the next five years.  Believe us, a “couple of hundred thousand” a year for these folks in tipping money or spare change in the couch and would never be missed so please don’t tell us that Stanford doesn’t have enough wealthy alumni to put together a nice offer to keep Jim Harbaugh around because it could easily be done with a 15 minute conference call.

Congratulations and Hearty Thanks to Jim Harbaugh, his coaching staff and to the Stanford Cardinal football team for a Magnificent 2010 football season!  It is our opinion that if we did have an American Way to settle the national title in college football that Stanford would be very hard to beat on any field home or away and that just make the Bogus and very Un-American BCS what it really is to anyone with a working brain.

An Embarrassment to the American Republic that is propped-up by the Biggest Group of Candy Asses and Greedy Bastards in the history of our country!

The National Spelling Bee vs. the Bogus and Un-American BCS

There is a very good reason that everyone here at Coaches Hot Seat married good looking, very smart, very hard working and great mothers for our children women and at breakfast over the weekend one of our wives was reading the OUTRAGEOUS comments by Candy Ass E. Gordon Gee about TCU, Boise State and the “Little Sisters of the Poor” and she turns to her husband and says:

“I am glad this Gee character isn’t involved in the National Spelling Bee because his ideas would destroy that great event.”

Oh, HOW SO VERY TRUE and what an Incredibly Accurate Observation about the Sorry Excuse for an American E. Gordon Gee!

We are big fans of the National Spelling Bee here at Coaches Hot Seat because several of us competed in the National Spelling Bee when we were growing up and many of our kids have as well and we have found the Spelling Bee to be a great way to get our children interested in learning more words, learning how to spell more words and another way to get them interested in education.

In case one doesn’t know, the National Spelling Bee holds spelling contests across the country and the winners of those contests then advance to the National Spelling Bee event where…Gasp….the local Spelling Bee Champions then face off against everyone else (not just from kids from their area of the country) in a…..Gasp…..Playoff Format that narrows down the local champions until there is a National Spelling Champion Crowned!

Oh, the Outrage!  Oh, the Madness!  No, we Cannot Allow this to happen because its not right for the “kids!” is what the supporters of the Bogus and Un-American BCS would say!

Do you support the Bogus and Un-American BCS?  OK, then you must think the National Spelling Bee is an outrage because the National Spelling decides its champion out in the open for all to see and in a…

VERY AMERICAN WAY!

Yes, you are one Sorry Excuse for an American Citizen if you support the Bogus BCS!

Imagine for a moment if the Candy Ass E. Gordon Gee or the other Sorry Excuses for American Citizens behind the Bogus got their hands on the National Spelling Bee.  What would change?  Oh, that’s easy to see if let the Candy Asses lose on this great American competition!

The First Thing is the Candy Asses would get together with a group of Greedy Bastards to put together a Bogus system that would send local spelling bee champions to play a Bogus two-kid face off for the Spelling Bee Championship (Bogus BCS Title Game) and then set up other Meaningless Exhibition Spelling Bee competitions (Bogus Bowl Games) for the top and even average spellers to face off against each other in contests that MEAN NOTHING AT ALL!

The Second Thing the Candy Asses would want to do would be to try and figure out which top two spellers would face each other in a Bogus Spelling Bee championship (Bogus Title Game) and where the other local spelling champions would go to play in Meaningless Exhibition Contests (Bowl Games) they would need people to vote on which kids were best so the Candy Asses would…

1.  Have the parents and teachers of the kids to vote in one poll which  would mean there would be huge conflicts of interest….Oh, that’s the head coaches voting on their own teams and the teams of their coaching friends!  Yes, both would be BOGUS!

2.  Find a group of people from around the country to vote in another poll that brag about not knowing much about the kids from around the country and if they can spell or not and people that don’t take the time to watch the spelling contests.  Oh, that’s the Harris Poll and both would be BOGUS!

3.  Then they would put together a group of computer dweebs that have secret software programs that they will not release the details on to the public and they will put in info about all of the spelling bee champions from around the country and then the computer programs would spit out which are the best spellers!  Oh, we have this as well with the Stupid BCS and both would again be Bogus!

The Candy Asses like E. Gordon Gee would then order their henchmen (the conference commissioners) to combine the above three polls and come up with a poll that would rank the spelling champions from around the country in what would be an incredibly arbitrary and Bogus way and the would call this the NSBSP (National Spelling Bee Series Poll).

Oh, let’s not forget that Candy Asses E. Gordon Gee would believe that some of the kids from around the country were from poorer school districts that are not the same quality of other school districts and these kids this Sorry Excuse for an American Gee would claim don’t face off against the best competition but rather face the “Little Sisters of the Poor” and thus should not be allowed to play for a Bogus National Spelling Bee title.

OK, if you are really an American Citizen and a Real Man or Woman does any of the above make any sense or follow the Principles of the American Republic that “All Men Are Created Equal?”

If you say “Yes” then you are either making money off the Bogus BCS and/or you are just like E. Gordon Gee…

A SORRY EXCUSE FOR AN AMERICAN CITIZEN!

Luckily, Wacko Liberals like E. Gordon Gee, Harvey Perlman and Graham Spanier are not involved in the National Spelling Bee because if these Sorry Excuses for Americans ever got their hands on the Spelling Bee or even college basketball and other intercollegiate athletics for that matter they would create a combination of a Communist, Fascist, or otherwise Totally Un-American Way to settle the champions of those events!

Yes, be thankful that the Gutless Coward E. Gordon Gee and his friends have so little power over very important athletic and academic competitions in America because if these Idiots would support something like the BCS they would clearly support other things to take Competition, Winning on the Field of Play Directly Against the Best Opponents and Winning Championships Like An American is supposed to Win a Championship…

Out in the open, on the field of play for all to see.

As for the Candy Ass E. Gordon Gee’s comments about TCU and Boise State playing the “Little Sisters of the Poor” we certainly hope that Ohio State head coach Jim Tressel doesn’t support the comments of his Bozo president because that means that Jim Tressel has no respect for the head coaches of the teams that Gee believes are “Little Sisters of the Poor” teams.

Here are the Head Coaches of the teams that Candy Ass Gee believes are leading “Little Sisters of the Poor” teams and since Jim Tressel has not spoken up against Gee’s words we must assume that Tressel agrees with them. (Not that Jim Tressel could speak out because Tressel and the Ohio State AD Gene Smith do not have the rights of Free Speech that other Americans and thus cannot speak out on what they really think even if they disagreed with the Candy Ass Gee.  What does that feel like Jim Tressel and Gene Smith to realize that you have been told sit down and shut up and if Candy Ass Gee runs down other college football teams, their head coaches and thus other college and universities you cannot say anything at all?  Yes, what does it feel like to have your right of Free Speech to be taken away?  Sorry, Real Americans speak Truth To Power and don’t like Idiots like E. Gordon Gee to distort the truth! )

“Little Sisters of the Poor” head coaches that Jim Tressel does not have the guts to defend:

TCU

Gary Patterson, TCU

Mike Riley, Oregon State

Art Briles, Baylor

June Jones, SMU

Steve Fairchild, Colorado State

Dave Christensen, Wyoming

Bronco Mendenhall, BYU

Troy Calhoun, Air Force

Bobby Hauck, UNLV

The above head coaches were called out as coaching teams that are “Little Sisters of the Poor” and Jim Tressel’s silence speaks volumes about Jim Tressel and about the lack of Freedom of Speech on the Ohio State University campus.

Unless Jim Tressel agrees with the Candy Ass Gee which is possible but if not then Jim Tressel should step up and Act like a Man and an American and defend his fellow coaches that should most certainly be not called out by this Candy Ass Gordon Gee.

Our guess:  Jim Tressel does not have the Guts to disagree with E. Gordon Gee and if we are right on that then our country is headed for a disaster when people like Jim Tressel are afraid to speak out and tell the truth!

Sorry Jim, there is only so much water we can carry for you and these comments by Gee are over the top and you know they are Bogus and yet….not a word from you.

Oh, by the way, here is who Ohio State has played in 2010 and their combined record:

Marshall – 5 – 7  (“Little Sisters of the Poor School according to Candy Ass Gee!”)

Miami – 7 – 5

Ohio – 8 – 4  (“Little Sisters of the Poor School according to Candy Ass Gee!”)

Eastern Michigan – 2 – 10  (“Little Sisters of the Poor School according to Candy Ass Gee!”)

Illinois – 6 – 5

Indiana – 5 – 7

Wisconsin – 11 – 1

Purdue – 4 – 8

Minnesota – 3 – 9

Penn State – 7 – 5

Iowa – 7 – 5

Michigan – 7 – 5

Combined record of Ohio State’s 2010 opponents:

72 – 71

Yes, Ohio State played a tough schedule in 2010!

What A Complete and Utter Joke this Candy Ass, Gutless Coward and Sorry Excuse for an American this E. Gordon Gee is!

And not a WORD from Jim Tressel and Gene Smith!

All the head coaches, teams and universities that were called out by this Gutless Candy Ass Gordon Gee should never forget his words nor should Americans either because this clown is a Great Example of the people that are taking down our country with their outrageous actions, supporting the Bogus and Un-American BCS is a great example of that and their words!

If the American Republic does go down then one of the main photos that will be hung in the Hall of Cowards that took down our Republic will be the Candy Ass E. Gordon Gee who like most of his fellow college and university presidents does not have the Guts to support a system to settle the national championship in college football in…

…talking about his new book Don’t Vote It Just Encourages the Bastards!  Very Funny!

Why Did The University of Texas Football Team Put Up A Record Of 5 – 7 In 2010? – Good Question…Pretty Simple Answer – Former Commanding Officer Of A CHS Member Weighs In On Gordon Gee’s Outrageous Comments on Boise State, TCU and the Bogus BCS – Why Can’t Stanford Fill Up Its Football Stadium? – Good Question……Very Easy Answer – Yes, It’s the Elitist Bastards Stupid!

Why did the University of Texas football team put up a record of 5 – 7 in 2010?

That is a very good and the essential question facing Mack Brown and the Longhorns right now and we believe it has a very simple two-part answer:

1.  Very Poor QB Play– Let’s just be brutally honest here.  If Garrett Gilbert is the best QB on the Texas football team then the University of Texas football team’s best QB would right now be at best the 4 th string QB on the Coaches Hot Seat flag football team and the 3 QBs that would be in front of him are all older than 37 years of age.  It looks like that Gilbert is trying hard but it also looks like he is not preparing hard because some of the sure signs of not being prepared to play is nervousness, mistake-prone and a lack of concentration and Gilbert has all three of those things in spades.  Texas just happened to have one of the Top 20 or so QBs in recent college football history in Colt McCoy in the last few seasons and they have gotten very average. to below average or even awful QB play from Gilbert this year.  Getting to the combination of Gilbert’s preparation plus his play takes us to the Main Reason that the Texas football team has put up a record of 5 – 7 in 2010.

2.  Texas has way too many football players that are playing “Losing” football – Many moons ago a Coaches Hot Seat member played for a head coach that along with his assistant coaches kept a list of every player on the team which classified every player into one of three categories.  Those three categories were:

W for Winning as in playing “Winning Football”

L for Losing as in playing “Losing Football”

I for Injured meaning “Unable to Play at this time”

Our CHS member and his teammates did not know that the coaching staff was classifying all the players in the above categories until his senior year when he by accident saw the list of a coach’s desk and asked a graduate assistant about it.  The graduate assistant told him he didn’t hear it from him, but that the head coach and assistant coaches kept the Winning, Losing and Injured list so that they knew which players they could trust and rely on to play in the games because only players playing “Winning Football” even got into the games unless they had a serious injury situation

The CHS member thought about the “Winning, Losing” list for a day or so and he started to understand why some talented players were not playing and why some of the less gifted players on the team were starters or high on the depth charts than one might have imagined where they might be.

Getting back the Texas football team after watching the Longhorns play over the past several weeks it is our opinion that over 50 percent of the UT players that are getting onto the field are playing “Losing Football” and to us that goes straight to heart of the problems that Mack Brown and his ‘Horns had in 2010.  Just for comparison earlier this week we pulled out copies of the 2009 Big 12 Title Game of the Alabama – Texas Bogus BCS title game from January and watched every play of both games and our opinion is that over 90 percent of the Texas players were playing “Winning Football” last season.  (By the way we believe that over 90 percent of the Texas A&M players have been playing “Winning Football” in the past few games up from 70 percent or so around the Missouri game earlier this season)

Now that is quite a swing going from 90 percent of the Texas football team playing “Winning Football” in 2009 and over 50 percent of the Texas football team playing “Losing Football” less than a year later.  Yes, quite a very Big Damn swing which led us to call our long-time UT friend and Austin resident after the A&M – Texas game last night and after the niceties were exchanged we asked him what he thought was wrong with Texas football and he said:

“Besides the bad QB play and the lack of effort that you guys came up with, which I agree with completely, it has been my impression that going back to fall practice and maybe even to spring practice or offseason conditioning that something happened…..an event…and incident…a disagreement…something that has led to some of the Texas football playersto not completely trust a coach or more than one coach or even the entire coaching staff.  I have no idea what it is but my son (in his late 20s and at UT in grad school) mentioned something to me over the summer about the Texas football team when we were playing golf and I just blew it off and I asked him about it recently and he couldn’t remember what he had told me.  Take that for what it’s worthbut something clearly has happened with UT football since the national title game against Bama.”

Did something happen at Texas earlier this season between a player and a player, a player or players and the Texas coaching staff or administration?  We haven’t a clue, but we have watched Texas play football very closely in 2010 and for most if not all of the season a majority of the Texas players did not play hard for even 1 game in 2010 and that means that Mack Brown has a Helluva mess on his hands.  Clearly, if Mack Brown doesn’t know why the best players coming out of high school cannot be coached up to play hard when wearing the UT uniform then there are very real problems that must be dealt with in Austin right now.

Former Commanding Officer of a CHS Member weighs in on Gordon Gee

One of the former Commanding Officers, now a retired Admiral, of a CHS member and a subscriber to CHS sent us an email on Thanksgiving on the comments by Gordon Gee and Boise State, TCU and the college football postseason.

Email:

“Did you guys see this portion of Gee’s comments?

“It’s not about this incessant drive to have a national championship because I think that’s a slippery slope to professionalism,” he said. “I’m a fan of the bowl system and I think that by and large it’s worked very, very well.”

Geez, does this guy have a clue to how our country became so successful and powerful in the world?”

End of Email

We won’t print the rest of the email since it blasts Gordon Gee and others that don’t seem to understand the importance of winning AND losing to our society and how creative destruction and the lessons that are learned by Losing at things in life has propelled our country forward.  No, we won’t print that part of the Email, but the Admiral is right and the Admiral and others in business and in the US military implicitly understand that the very things that have made America a great power are the same exact things that Gordon Gee, academics and for lack of a better word, Candy Asses are so very afraid of.

Competition which entails one side winning and other side losing is at the core of the American Republic and what Gordon Gee fails to realize, and how could since he has lived a pampered and very safe life far from the battlefields of war and business, is that it was American WINNING World War I and World War II that made the American Republic so powerful and the country we have enjoyed during our lives.  Very simply, if America and its allies had not won WW I and WW II we would be living in a dramatically different world today that would have put very evil in charge of human affairs and we are all lucky that didn’t happen.  It is our opinion that there is great danger in the attitudes of Gordon Gee, Harvey Perlman (Nebraska chancellor), Graham Spanier (Penn State prez), Jim Delany, Bill Hancock and others that revel in and almost celebrate the “Everyone’s a Winner” Bullshit because when “Everyone’s a Winner” that also means that no one is a “Loser.”

Sorry, but if we ever inoculate our culture so much that we eliminate “Losers” of sporting contests, academic challenges, business deals, etc., then we will turn our country into a bunch of people that expect to win each and every time they do something in their life and we have some news for people like Gordon Gee and his ilk that don’t have a clue to how the Real World works and the great danger our Republic is in right now….

Your attitude of “Everyone’s a Winner” Poses a Clear and Present Danger to our Nation and to the future success of its People.

By trying and thus hoping to eliminate “Losing” from our society one also removes the very thing and essential element that drove Man and Woman forward from the Caveman days to our modern societies and that very thing and essential element is…

Learning from Losing and thus our mistakes.

When you tell a college football player, team or coach for that matter with coaches today making the outrageous claims these days that they had a “successful season because we went to a bowl game” that they have achieved something meaningful by getting to .500 record then you reward and celebrate Mediocrity and then often coaches will wonder why there players begin to accept Mediocrity in their lives on and off the football field.  Well…Duh!

The very same thing applies to the Bogus and Incredibly Un-American BCS which Gordon Gee’s incredibly stupid an uniformed comments only solidify how much the BCS runs counter to the Principles of our Country and the very things that have made us so Great in the first place.

Americans WIN THINGS whether it be sports championships, business deals, accomplishments or World Wars and when we ever get to the point when WINNING THINGS by Earning them on the Field of Play where everyone can clearly see who the Best team is then our country will be in a lot of trouble.

Yes, there is a battle going on right now and it has nothing to do with what is best for the student-athlete (college basketball players miss more class in two weeks of regular season games than college football players do all season and still would even with a playoff postseason system in CFB) or not as the Idiot Gordon Gee claims, because if he really believed that the Bogus BCS system was better for the “student-athlete” then he would propose the same type of system for every other sport on the Ohio State campus….but he has not and never would because he knows he would be laughed out of the state.

No, Gordon’s Gee Idiotic comments are not about doing the right thing for what’s “best for the student-athlete” but are really about the Candy Ass and Fantasyland view that Gordon Gee has of the world where playing meaningless exhibition games is somehow better than Americans acting like Americans and settling and earning the National Title in college football on the Field of Play just as we do in every other sport in intercollegiate athletics.  Yes, the Greedy Bowl Executives do play a roll in Gordon Gee’s thinking because they have brainwashed what is a very weak and never really tested brain into believing that meaningless exhibition bowl games are better than a postseason playoff, but still it is our opinion at the very core of Gordon Gee is a man that knows he could never hack it in the Real World and that he would be shown to be a Gutless Coward if he had to stand up and fight for his country in battle.

Yes, Gordon Gee and his ilk in academia and others in our country are Very, Very Afraid of Real Competition and the Winning AND Losing that comes from Real Competition because when you get right down to it they are frightened and fearful of having to confront the things that they fear most which is the question….

Would they be brave in battle?  Or if they had to for their own survivals sake be able to handle this?

Because if not and one filled up the United States with Gordon Gees in 1941 the world would be a much different place today with our best guess being that Germany and Japan would have divided up the world and also America between each other and even worse there would not be a person of the Jewish faith left alive on the planet and Americans would be nothing more than slaves to the victors of World War II!  (Kind of like a Bad and Evil Version of It’s a Wonderful Life only with these academic Candy Asses being put back into time and then shown what would have happened if their Fantasy views of the world existed 70 years ago.  Yes, very ugly indeed!).  No, in our opinion this would not have ever happened if America was filled with Gordon Gees in 1941.  Japan Surrenders to the US and its Allies:

It is our opinion that Gordon Gee and many others in academia that have lived a sheltered life far from the battlefield and modern American business and commerce don’t have any understanding of the things that have made our country great and when one adds in the Politically-Correct World that they live in where appearances and “being on the “right” side of things” (as in being on the side that is accepted by their friends and colleagues whether it actually be right or wrong) one ends up with people that are completely out of touch with the Real World that 99 percent of Americans live in and also things like the Bogus BCS spring to life.

Yes, it would take someone that has never worked a day in his life to come up with something as Bogus and Un-American as the BCS and who actually dreamed up the BS BCS anyway?  That would be former SEC commish, Vanderbilt AD and Central Michigan head coach Roy Kramer who never worked a day in his adult life out of intercollegiate athletics or academia (Although Roy Kramer did have a very impressive win/loss record as the head coach at Central Michigan!  83 – 32 – 2 in 11 seasons at CMU.  And Roy Kramer was a very good if not great commish of the SEC Conference.  You Go Roy!).

Enough on the Idiotic Utterances of E. Gordon Gee because there is only so much one can say about a man that is not only a Massive Hypocrite, not only a Pompous and Arrogant Ass, not only a Gutless Coward, but also a person (certainly not a Real Man or American) that in our opinion when you get right down to what he is really all about one finds a pitiful and very afraid little boy that would not last two seconds if he had to walk of the college campus and function in the Real World with the rest of us.

Congrats Gordo, you are the type of American Citizen that makes the leadersof 1 Billion Chinese very, very happy and makes them sleep very well at night and that little factoid should scare the Hell out of every American that has children and grandchildren that are going to have to fight the Candy Ass Americans in our own country withone hand and the Chinese with the other!

Sorry Gordon Gee, Harvey Perlman, Jim Delany, Bill Hancock and others that believe in the Bogus and Un-American BCS and have a warped view of what America is all about because we are not going to stand aside and let your views define the future of our country because if America does turn into place where a majority of its People believe that something as Bogus as the BCS or that .500 records should be rewarded with postseason bowl trips then the America that we grew up in, that we fought and served for, that we work hard in everyday and that we would like to leave as a better place for our children will be no more.

No, we are not going to let that happen and that means that either we stand up for what we believe in or we let the Candy Asses like Gordon Gee hold sway and that is something that we cannot allow to happen or We the People of the United States of America and our Republic will no longer exist.

Why does Stanford football have a tough time filling its stadium?

Jon Wilner of the Mercury News has a story out this morning about the problems that Stanford football is having filling up its 50,000 seat brand new stadium:

Empty seats at home games leave Stanford red-faced

“A nationally ranked football team with a star quarterback, well-known coach and gorgeous stadium would translate to sellout crowds on most college campuses.

But not at Stanford, where thousands of seats sit empty on any given Saturday. The small crowds are an object of derision for opponents and a source of frustration for school officials, including football coach Jim Harbaugh. The situation has left others baffled.

“Their head coach is a force of nature. Their quarterback is a Heisman Trophy candidate. Their team is one of the best in the country, and they have 6.5 million people living here,” said Andy Dolich, who has worked as an executive for the A’s, Warriors and 49ers. “They’ve got everything going for them.”

But the empty seats — in 50-000-seat Stanford Stadium, more than 10,000 regularly go unfilled — are no longer just a head-scratcher. They could cost the football team a berth in a major bowl game.”

Well, it is hard to argue with any of the above and if you read the rest of the article one will find out about many of the marketing and promoting mistakes that have been made by Stanford Athletics over the years, but when you get right down to why Stanford football has such a hard time filling up their 50,000 seat stadium even when The Cardinal is ranked in the Top 10 in the country the reason is…

Stanford University is filled with lots of Elitist Bastards that look down their noses at the Unwashed Masses and the Unwashed Masses are smart enough to understand that reality and thus they have no interest in pulling for a football team or attending a game that has a lot of Elitist Bastards that will look down their noses at the Unwashed Masses!

Stanford has about 55,000 alumni in the SF Bay area and thus if every one of them showed up at the game then the stadium would easily be full counting the current students, but about half of the Bay area Stanford alumni couldn’t catch a football from five yards on the best day of their lives (men or women) and that group had no interest in attending any athletic events when they were a student and certainly not now when more than likely they are working their asses off 60 plus hours a week.

Therefore, one has about 20,000 Stanford alumni in the SF Bay area that have at least some interest in attending Cardinal football games and if you toss in 4,000 or so students you have about 25,000 in the stands and one is almost to the real attendance at Stanford football games which is in the 30 to 35 K range.

Here is where the real problem is for Stanford football in getting fans to football games….

Stanford football doesn’t have very many fans!

We got a good laugh a few weeks back after the Arizona – Stanford game when Jim Harbaugh talked about “our fans” not showing up at the game, because Jim Harbaugh evidently hasn’t gotten the message that Stanford football….

Doesn’t have any fans!

….and the folks running Stanford University rather like it that way!

The last thing that the Elitist Bastards running Stanford University would want to happen is for large hordes of the Unwashed Masses showing up on the Stanford campus even if they stayed around the football stadium the entire time they were on The Farm.  No, let’s not get TOO MUCH advertising out there because some of the Unwashed Masses or the Common Folks as some of the Elitist Bastards call them might just come for a Stanford football game and accidently wander over to the main campus and….

Linger around for a little while!

…and we can’t let that happen!  Oh, what a disaster that would be if Joe Sixpack and Mary Lipstick started loving Jim Harbaugh and his very good football team because that would mean that….Gasp!….

Joe Sixpack and Mary Lipstick

…..would start to think that they could come by The Farm anytime and get lunch, or go to a museum (The Great Cantor Arts Museum is a must stop when visiting the Stanford campus) or the  really scary thought…..Gasp!…..interact with one of the Elitist Bastards even if they were only asking which way to the bathroom!

Yes, the real reason why Stanford football has a very hard time filling up a 55,000 seat football stadium is that the Elitist Bastards running Stanford University….

Don’t want the stadium filled up with every Tom, Dick, Harry, Joe and Mary

….that might be having way too much drinking beer and yelling out things like….

“Come on!  Get of your Asses and take the ball down the field and stuff it into the end zone!”

….while they are pouring a flask filled with Jack Daniels into their soda!

Pity the poor David Vargas, Stanford director of football marketing who is quoted in Jon Wilner’s article:

“”We have got to get younger,” said David Vargas, the director of football marketing. “We haven’t reached out to young alumni. The vast majority of our graduates stay in the area for a few years.”

But since the start of the 2009 season it boasts an 18-6 record, better than any of the major football-playing competition (the 49ers, Raiders, Cal and San Jose State).

And yet Stanford Stadium — the sparkling $90 million facility renovated before the 2006 season — is usually less than 80 percent full.

“It’s disappointing,” Vargas said. “It’s such a great product.””

Oh, David, what a very tough job you have to attract more fans to Stanford football games when the Elitist Bastards running Stanford University are already scared when 35,000 people show up on campus especially as they whisper under their breath when walking to the game….

“Some of these folks didn’t even go to Stanford!  What are they doing here?”

If Stanford Athletics and Stanford University really is interested in increasing attendance to football games the very first thing they can do is to give Jim Harbaugh a 5 year contract at about $2.5 million a year increasing $100K per year to $3 million in year 5 and secondly the Elitist Bastards that run Stanford can start being a lot more welcoming and interested in bringing more people to the campus for athletic events and other things that would open the magnificent Farm up to all.

Enough said on that and NO we don’t expect the Elitist Bastards that are running Stanford University to change anytime soon although they would very smart if they started engaging a lot more with the entire San Francisco Bay area community and not just Stanford alumni and other “right thinking” folks that fit into a cookie-cutter mold of what type of people that would welcome on campus.

Very simply, if Stanford Athletics really wants to sell out all of its home football games (and get attendance up for other sports as well) then it is going to have to start REALLY marketing to the Unwashed Masses out there that in our opinion would bring a refreshing change of pace to The Farm which is filled with way too many Uptight Bastards that could use a heavy dose of the Common Folks!

We Here At Coaches Hot Seat Are Thankful For A Lot On This Thanksgiving Day But We Are Especially Thankful For The Complete and Utter Idiot From Columbus, Ohio Otherwise Known as the President of The Ohio State University: E. Gordon Gee – Did E. Gordon Gee Break U.S. Law In His Interview With the Associated Press? – In Our Opinion If He Didn’t Violate U.S. Law Then He Did Toss In The Garbage the Underlying Principle of Our Nation That “All Men Are Created Equal” – Alabama Governor George C. Wallace and E. Gordon Gee – In Our Opinion Two Men Who Think Very Much Alike – An Interesting Irony Connecting the Attorney General of the United States, George C. Wallace and E. Gordon Gee – Giving Thanks On Thanksgiving Day – Have A Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

We Here At Coaches Hot Seat Are Thankful for the Complete and Utter Idiot From Columbus, Ohio Otherwise Known as the President of The Ohio State University:  E. Gordon Gee

On this very special day of giving Thanks to the things we here at Coaches Hot Seat do have in our lives we also send out a very special thanks to the Bumbling Idiot and Sorry Excuse for an American Citizen…

E. Gordon Gee

Oh, we are so thankful for you E. Gordon Gee because you are the poster case for everything that is wrong with college football and America in the early 21 th century and thus gives us parents very good examples to point to for our children of what NOT TO BE LIKE which is more valuable than all the money in the Bogus BCS Bastards pockets!

There have been a lot of great comments in the media in the last 24 hours about the Sheer Idiocy of E. Gordon Gee and we have linked most of those stories at Coaches Hot Seat but for right on the mark writing Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports has the Candy Ass in Columbus, Ohio nailed completely.

Gee’s Bluster Blows Holes in the BCS

“Here’s the problem: Gee clearly has no idea what he is arguing about, or for, let alone how the BCS formula works, why it exists or how a playoff could actually operate.

His comments don’t contain the logic of reality (Boise State would accept a Big Ten membership in 0.001 seconds and TCU is now begging for a game with the Buckeyes) and are ignorant of Ohio State’s actual strength of schedule (closer to the Little Sisters of the Poor than Gee realizes).

His militant opposition to settling the sports championship on the field of play isn’t based on any obvious knowledge of anything. It just exists. Since Gordon Gee loves being in the media and couldn’t resist causing a fire storm nationally, he spoke out anyway.

The funny thing is that his blind swings at defending the maligned system actually tear it down.

Gee may think he’s arguing for the BCS, but he’s actually arguing against it.”

Oh, how right you are Dan and what a Complete and Utter Idiot E. Gordon Gee is and the kicker is: Gee like most Wacko Liberal Candy Asses doesn’t even know that he is a Complete and Utter Idiot!

Dan Wetzel continues his dissection of the Complete and Utter Idiot from Columbus, Ohio:

“More telling though were the scope of Gee’s comments and his supporting arguments for why he loves the BCS.

They actually argue against the BCS.

If Gee thinks it’s ridiculous for a 12-0 WAC team to get into the title game then he ought to be opposed to the BCS and its convoluted formula, not in favor of it. It’s Gee’s own beloved BCS (“a mixed-up mystery,” he calls it) that is one upset of Oregon (and perhaps Auburn) from doing exactly what Gee finds so horrible.

So why would he support such a formula?

What he’s arguing is that an arbitrary system based on mass opinion and computer formulas that are not mathematically sound (per actual mathematicians) isn’t a good way to select the two teams that should play for the title. There needs to be better perspective and, if he carries the thought out, access so that teams that are forced to play more difficult schedules aren’t adversely punished for losing a single game (like a night game at Camp Randall for instance).

What he’s arguing is that the BCS is bunk.”

Oh, isn’t that Rich and so Very Right?  E. Gordon Gee’s mind is so warped, is so filled with Politically-Correct Horseshit and is then combined with the fact that he has never had to deal with the Real World in his life that exists off the safety and nuttiness of the college campus that we actually have E. Gordon Gee believing that he is arguing for the BCS when he is actually arguing for its destruction!

No, don’t ever let anyone claim or tell you that because he or she has a lot of degrees that they also have high intelligence of a lick of common sense and there is no better example in America today than that than the Complete and Utter Idiot from Columbus, Ohio that not only doesn’t know Up from Down, we are starting to believe that this clown couldn’t get his shoes tied in the morning if he didn’t have someone kissing his ass all day long and doing such thing!

Thank You so very much the Complete and Utter Idiot from Columbus, Ohio, otherwise known as E. Gordon Gee and to his Candy Ass friends and fellow travelers in the Twilight Zone known as…

“I have never held a job off of a college campus in my adult life!”

Yes, that is the Fantasy Twilight Zone alright!

Sorry, if you have never held a job off of a college campus in your adult life you need to just go ahead and Shut the Hell Up about anything that happens in the Real World which is far removed from the Fantasyland that is colleges and universities in America.

Yes, we got a great laugh today from the Complete and Utter Idiot from Columbus, Ohio and as several of us gathered tonight on the shores of Lake Tahoe for a pre-Thanksgiving meal of pizza and what our wives call the “Big Salad” (Isn’t that from Seinfeld….as our wives try but fail to get us to eat some salad with the pizza!) the token lawyer here at Coaches Hot Seat is sitting in the corner of the room reading E. Gordon Gee’s comments to the AP today about the BCS and the “Sisters of the Blind” and after looking over those comments our lawyer friend looks up, takes off his glasses and says:

“This bastard (E. Gordon Gee) that runs a public university that is supported by federal tax dollars just advocated something that violates the “Equal Protection Clause” of the 14 th Amendment of the US Constitution.”

Of course, that got our attention as college basketball games were on several TVs in the background and one of us said to the token lawyer:

“Explain.”

Token Lawyer:  “The Equal Protection Clause of the 14 the Amendment provides that no state shall deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws and clearly this Bastard (E. Gordon Gee) is claiming that Boise State, TCU and other teams should not be treated in the same way as teams from the Big Ten, SEC and other BCS conferences.  The Equal Protection Clause was an attempt by the Federal Government to secure the promise of the US’s professed commitment that is embodied in the Declaration of Independence which is that “All Men are Created Equal.”  Clearly, this Bastard is saying that the players and coaches on the TCU and Boise State football teams should not be treated as full and equal citizens of the United States even though they are playing in the same division of football as schools in the Big Ten.  There is plenty of precedent of states and state sponsored and supported organizations discriminating against certain types of Americans like blacks or women or people of a certain faith, and this Bastard has actually come out and said that as the president of Ohio State that he believes it is OK for a group of schools, conference commissioners, bowl people to get together and discriminate against other publicly funded schools, their football teams, their players, their coaches and even their fans.”

That brought the room to a quiet standstill with the TVs carrying the college basketball by now being set to Mute and all of us looking around and realizing that it has been our opinion for awhile now that the BCS violated the underlying Principles of the American Republic, and now it seems we have E. Gordon Gee making almost the same discriminatory argument that Governor of Alabama George C. Wallace made almost 50 years ago to keep blacks out of the University of Alabama (which is another point we have made many times in this Blog).

Yes, thank you so very much E. Gordon Gee the Complete and Utter Idiot from Columbus, Ohio because with your comments today about the BCS, Boise State, TCU and other things you have exposed yourself for what you really are….

Like most Candy Asses we have run into you E. Gordon Gee are a Gutless Coward as well.

You see, a Real American, as opposed to a Candy Ass Gutless Coward would want the national championship in college football to be decided on the Field of Play and to be settled and earned by players and teams facing off against each other to prove which team is the best just as we do with every other intercollegiate sport on the Ohio State campus.

Yes E. Gordon Gee in intercollegiate athletics there are postseason “Playoffs” in every other sport on your campus but then that reality just adds another label to your Sorry Excuse for American Ass:

Huge Hypocrite

That’s right Gordo, you are a…

Sorry Excuse for an American Citizen

A Candy Ass

A Gutless Coward

A Pompous Arrogant Ass

and A Massive Hypocrite

….and the kicker of it all is that E. Gordon Gee has surrounded himself with so many sycophants and ass kissers that there is no one there to look the Gutless Coward in the eyes and says…

“Enough with the Bullshit Gordo.  Why don’t you start acting like a Real Man and a Real American because right now you are neither.”

As we finish up with the Complete and Utter Idiot from Columbus, Ohio if you really want to know what E. Gordon Gee is all about just read the below stories on some of things he was doing at the other schools where he was president of:

Yes, Gordo has a taste for the finer things in life!

Vanderbilt reins in lavish spending by chancellor

Governance and Gordon Gee

Million Dollar Man Gee Dumps Vanderbilt, Returns to Ohio State

If after reading the above 3 stories (and we have dozens more filed away on this Bozo Gee) and you still think he is any thing more than a Complete and Utter Idiot then you need some serious help in how to determine the difference between a Candy Ass Gutless Coward (and it seems a pretty boy that likes the finer things in life) and a Real American!

We have some news for E. Gordon Gee:

I-A college football is going to have a playoff with or without your approval and you can’t take that factoid to the any bank in the country and it will be cashed immediately.

As for E. Gordon Gee’s comments about “a gun being put to his head” over the BCS vs. a potential playoff we can put your mind at ease Gordo:

No, it will not be a gun Gordo, that’s not how we do things in the American Republic, but it will be a subpoena that is put into your hand that requires you to turn over all correspondence, email, regular mail, phones calls, etc., that have anything to do with the “Bowl Championship Series, BCS and the college football postseason.”

E. Gordon Gee and his Politically-Correct friends’ better just hope that Gordo will not be found to have participated in a conspiracy to violate the rights of other American citizens with the rest of these Bastards that prop up the Bogus and Un-American BCS.

Oh, that’s right, in our opinion E. Gordon Gee has already done that many times which was capped in his interview of November 24, 2010 with the Associated Press.

Yes, Gordo, it takes a very special kind of Pompous Arrogant Ass that is combined with a Gutless Coward that is tied to a Big Candy Ass that is added to a Sorry Excuse for an American Citizen that also happens to be a Huge Hypocrite and you ..

Are that person to a tee!

Lastly, Brian Murphy of the Idaho Statesman in Boise, Idaho understands completely what the Utter and Complete Idiot in Columbus, Ohio was really saying and he lays that out in his column:

Ohio State president prefers ridiculous over rational

That’s right Gordo, you are in our opinion the same as former Alabama Governor George C. Wallace with the only difference being that George C. Wallace had the good sense before he died to admit that he was wrong about discriminating against American citizens that wanted to get a college education that just happened to be black.  Oh, how very ironic it is that now we have the Pompous Arrogant Ass E. Gordon Gee almost 50 years after Wallace’s Schoolhouse Door Stand saying that it is OK and right to discriminate against our fellow Americans.  In our opinion E. Gordon Gee’s discriminatory comments and behavior towards Boise State and TCU are beyond disgusting, beyond Un-American but they are the words of someone that does not respect nor care about the Principles of the American Republic.

Sorry Gordo you and other that defend and prop-up the Bogus BCS are not only Completely Wrong and Gutless Cowards but you are Very Evil as well and it will be a Great Day in America where discriminators like E. Gordon Gee are no longer welcome in our Republic.

An interesting sidebar to comparing Alabama Governor George C. Wallace (who had the guts to admit he was wrong about discriminating against blacks in the 1950s and 60s) and the equally disgusting and Un-American E. Gordon Gee is that the current Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder is married to Dr. Sharon Malone, an obstetrician, who is the sister of  Vivian Malone Jones who was one of the first two African-Americans to enroll at the University of Alabama in 1963.

Now isn’t that ironic that 47 years after Alabama Governor George C. Wallace stood in the Schoolhouse Door at the University of Alabama we have E. Gordon Gee making in our opinion very similar if not downright the same comments about other Americans that should not have the same rights as football teams in the Big Ten and the Attorney General of the United States is married to the sister of one of the first two African Americans to enroll at the University of Alabama.

We are betting that we here at Coaches Hot Seat are not the only one’s that have already or will recognize the irony that has connected George C. Wallace and E. Gordon Gee.  In our opinion both men believed at the time of their discriminatory statements that some Americans were not equal to other Americans and at least George Wallace had the common sense to both stand aside from the Schoolhouse Door in 1963 which avoided the violence that Ole Miss and other southern schools went through and to admit that he was wrong later in his life.

We are very confident that the Pompous Arrogant E. Gordon Gee will never admit he was wrong because Gordo has never been wrong in his life and it is our opinion that he will have to be subpoenaed and put under oath to find out just what he and others that support and prop-up this Bogus and Un-American BCS have really been up to as they have discriminated against our fellow American citizens.

No, we are not going away Gordo and Yes….

We will have a playoff in I-A football and Yes we are going to settle the National Title in college football like Real Americans on the Field of Play.

Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving Day

We here at Coaches Hot Seat are very Thankful for all that we have on this Thanksgiving Holiday and we are mindful that there are many in America and across the world that suffer greatly even as we enjoy the benefits of this great country and grand experiment called America.

We certainly would like to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving and we would like to send out very special wishes to our US military personnel both at home and around the globe that are on duty and away from their families on Thanksgiving Day.

Several of us here at Coaches Hot Seat spent time away from America and our families on Thanksgiving while serving in the US military and we have great and often funny tales of what we and others did to make that day resemble what we knew was going on in the homes of our families back in the States.

One particular Thanksgiving Day stands out for two Coaches Hot Seat members that spent a Thanksgiving Day and several days around this special weekend in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba while serving in the US Navy.

As many Americans know Guantanamo Bay, Cuba has a US Naval Base and while serving in the Navy we went to Guantanamo to do work-ups for deployments overseas or to conduct training operations.  This particular trip was to test out the Engineering Plant for the ship so the entire crew was tasked to work in the dozens of Engineering spaces on the ship to make sure they were in great, no not good, but great shape for when the evaluation team arrived to run the ship through its paces.

It was on this Thanksgiving Day at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base where our ship was dockside while we painted and scraped and cleaned up anything and everything that had to do with engines, pumps, rotors, hydraulics and other things that make a modern warship get up and go.  Yes, in November on the southwest corner of Cuba it is rather hot and that day one CHS member looked up at a temperature gauge in the Engineering space deep in the bowels of the ship where he was working and saw that it read 105 degrees!  10 minutes later he looked up again and standing there was the Commanding Officer of the ship who then said:

“Looks like you and your men are doing a great job.  Get them together, send everyone to get cleaned up and let’s get some Thanksgiving lunch!”

CHS Member:  “Yes, Sir”

As one wondered about what kind of “Thanksgiving Lunch” could be found on a USS Naval warship in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba everyone was told to get cleaned up and then head for the messdecks.  After showering and changing into some clothes that weren’t soaking from sweat we all met up again and headed down to the messdecks where we saw the Commanding Officer was standing behind several dozen very large and perfectly cooked turkeys with the rest of the table filled with all the fixings of an American Thanksgiving meal.  Also, the C.O. had brought in portable air conditioners and big fans and had turned the messdecks into a very comfortable 80 or so degrees which felt like 40 after being down in that Engineering space all morning!

Yes, that was a very memorable and thankful Thanksgiving Day far away from America!

The thing about the above Thanksgiving Day experience in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and a dozen or so others that we have related to each other over the years of being far away from America and our families is we believe that these event are part of a shared experience that we would not trade for anything in the world because those times shaped who we are today and we believe made us stronger and more capable to meet the demands of modern life.  The same goes for the sports teams we played on, the coaches that demanded more from us than we thought we could give and found out he was right and for the jobs we have been fortunate enough to work in during our civilian working lives.

Those are things and events that define life and for those of us that are lucky enough to have loving wives and healthy children we are most Thankful of this Day that we give Thanks for so much else.

Yes, most of us have a whole lot to be Thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day and most of all we should be Thankful that a group of Pilgrims from England had the courage to leave their home country to settle the New World and that in 1621 they celebrated the First Thanksgiving with Native Americans at Plymouth Colony and set in motion this grand country we now call home.

Yes, it took Very Brave Men and Women to cross the Atlantic Ocean to settle the unknown New World and it took equally Very Brave Americans to create and sustain the American Republic and we hope that on this uniquely American holiday that you and yours have a…

HAPPY AND SAFE THANKSGIVING!
