Damning report: Penn State should suspend its football program, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
“Anyone who still is worried about the legacy of football coaching legend Joe Paterno has missed the important lesson of the horrible child sex abuse scandal at Penn State.
An utterly damning report released Thursday by former FBI director Louis Freeh, who was hired to investigate the university’s response to the actions of Jerry Sandusky, makes it abundantly clear that the late head coach shared culpability with three other senior university executives in failing to protect children from a sexual predator in their midst.
Mr. Paterno, along with former university president Graham B. Spanier, former senior vice president Gary C. Schultz and athletic director Timothy M. Curley, presided over a culture that put the reputation of the university and its coaches above the welfare of victimized children and above legal requirements to report suspicions of abuse.
Those four “most powerful men at Penn State failed to take any steps for 14 years to protect the children” who were abused, Mr. Freeh said at his news conference Thursday. They had an “active agreement to conceal” allegations that a young boy was raped in a university shower in 2001 by former defensive coach Sandusky, a pact that was not dissolved until a state grand jury investigation last year.
The motive? They wanted to “avoid the consequences of bad publicity,” which Mr. Freeh said would have included facing a government investigation, hurting the university’s “brand” and the reputation of its coaches, undercutting Penn State’s ability to raise funds and triggering questions about what they did in 1998 when another child sex assault involving the same coach was alleged.
The investigation turned up a series of emails that showed Mr. Paterno’s involvement. Initial plans to notify law enforcement when the 2001 shower assault was reported by a coaching assistant were changed after Mr. Curley consulted with Mr. Paterno.
The same four men knew about a 1998 criminal investigation of a similar incident in which Mr. Sandusky was not charged. They did not tell the university’s board of trustees or even talk with Mr. Sandusky about it. In particular, the report says Mr. Paterno followed the matter closely and failed to take any action.”
Well, the above are the FACTS and we defy anyone to dispute that the above are the FACTS…..
And after the Freeh report the Penn State University Board of Trustees which all that served during the Sandusky Disaster should have already been tossed out on their asses by now said…

“One day after the release of the Freeh report, Penn State’s Board of Trustees held a Friday meeting.
Afterward, board chair Karen Peetz addressed the topic of what to do about the multiple ways the school has memorialized former coach Joe Paterno.
“We feel honoring coach Paterno is a sensitive issue,” Peetz said. “It’s going to take a lot of dialogue with the community. We want to be reflective and take our time. There’s not a timeline or deadline. That’s not necessary. It’s going to take a lot of discussion.””
What the Hell?
Now we really know that the entire Penn State Board of Trustees that were on the board when Sandusky was RAPING young boys in the Penn State athletics offices should have already had their Sorry Asses tossed out because these folks just don’t have a Freaking Clue to what the Hell they are doing and they are borderline saying RAPING young boys is bad….but not that bad!
Let’s go back to a paragraph in the Post-Gazette editorial:

And now a paragraph from the Washington Post in the middle of January of this year in an interview Joe Paterno did with Sally Jenkins:
“Paterno insists he was completely unaware of a 1998 police investigation into a report from a Second Mile mother that Sandusky had inappropriately touched her son in a shower. The inquiry ended when the local prosecutor declined to bring charges. “You know it wasn’t like it was something everybody in the building knew about,” Paterno said. “Nobody knew about it.”
Very simply in our opinion reading the FACTS presented by Louis Freeh…..Joe Paterno LIED to Sally Jenkins in January, 2012 and he LIED to the grand jury in 2011 about the 1998 incident involving Jerry Sandusky or as the Washington Post sports editors write in a better way than we can….

“Joe Paterno was a liar, there’s no doubt about that now. He was also a cover-up artist. If the Freeh report is correct in its summary of the Penn State child molestation scandal, the public Paterno of the last few years was a work of fiction. In his place is a hubristic, indictable hypocrite.
In the last interview before his death, Paterno insisted as strenuously as a dying man could that he had absolutely no knowledge of a 1998 police inquiry into child molestation accusations against his assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky. This has always been the critical point in assessing whether Paterno and other Penn State leaders enabled Sandusky’s crimes.
If Paterno knew about ’98, then he wasn’t some aging granddad who was deceived, but a canny and unfeeling power broker who put protecting his reputation ahead of protecting children.
If he knew about ’98, then he understood the import of graduate assistant Mike McQueary’s distraught account in 2001 that he witnessed Sandusky assaulting a boy in the Penn State showers.
If he knew about ’98, then he also perjured himself before a grand jury.
Guilty.”
That’s right…..Joe Paterno is now in our opinion a proven LIAR and a man that perjured himself before a grand jury in early 2011 to no doubt “protect” his legacy and Penn State University football and there is NO WAY any Human Being could possibly defend Paterno’s actions after reading the FACTS as presented by Louis Freeh unless of course they are a LIAR, a FOOL, a SYCOPHANT or someone that believes grown men RAPING young boys is OK.
The Penn State University Board of Trustees during this entire Sandusky mess need to be summarily fired and ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that has to do with Joe Paterno needs to be wiped away from Penn State University unless of course Penn State University condones a man that was covering up for man that was RAPING young boys on the PSU campus which may indeed be the case and there may be a lot more EVIL stuff that has been going on in State College, PA that needs to come to the surface because if the EVIL doings of Jerry Sandusky can be covered up for more than a decade then there is no telling what in the Hell else these Sorry Bastards covered-up in “Happy Valley.”

IF the above story doesn’t convince you that the three Bastards that are still alive, Curley, Schultz and Spanier, should be sent to prison for the rest of their natural lives and that Joe Paterno’s name should be removed from ANYTHING and EVERYTHING on the Penn State University then we can draw no other conclusion than you believe it is OK for adults in positions of leadership at a large state university to actively conspire to cover-up for a man that was RAPING young boys on the Very Damn campus that the above Bastards were running and held ALL of the power.
