Post Week 8 NFL Coaches Hot Seat Rankings – It’s Halloween Week Johnny Cash….Scare the Hell Out of These Hot Seat Coaches!

Post Week 8 NFL Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

A chair on fire... metaphor "In The Hot Seat"

It’s Halloween Week Johnny Cash….Scare the Hell out of these Hot Seat Coaches!

Post Week 8 NFL Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

RexRyan7

1.  Rex Ryan, New York Jets – After Sunday’s pitiful 43 – 23 loss by the Jets to the Bills on Sunday not only has his team quit on him but Rex Ryan has officially entered….

Your Ass Will Be Fired Soon

….territory barring a miracle turnaround to the season….

Oh, that’s FUNNY!

The New York Jets are now 1 – 7 on the season and have a game…

At Kansas City

…this coming Sunday which should be a fabulous trip for the New York Jets football team, management, and ownership……NOT!

Eat some that great BBQ for in Kansas City!

Who do we think might replace Rex Ryan as the head coach of the New York Jets?

What about one of these coaches…

Jim Harbaugh, Head Coach San Francisco 49ers

Greg Roman, Offensive Coordinator of San Francisco 49ers

Brian Kelly, Head Coach Notre Dame

Todd Bowles, Defensive Coordinator Arizona Cardinals

Sean Payton, Head Coach of New Orleans Saints

MikeSmith1

2.  Mike Smith, Atlanta Falcons – After the Falcons collapse in London to the Detroit Lions head coach Mike Smith is about to move into Rex Ryan’s…

Your Ass Will Be Fired Soon

…territory unless the Falcons start playing better football and start winning football games and QUICK!

The good news is that the Carolina Panthers lead the NFL South division with a record of…

3 – 4 – 1

….so the Falcons are not that far back at 2 – 6 even after losing 5 straight games and with that in mind the Falcons need a WIN and QUICK and after a much-needed BYE week the November 9 game…

At the Tampa Bay Bucs

….may be the biggest game of Mike Smith’s head coaching career.

There is NO WAY that the Atlanta Falcons should lose this next game to the Bucs and with a win against Tampa and TWO games still left to be played against Carolina maybe….just maybe….Mike Smith can turn this thing around in Atlanta….MAYBE!

TomCoughlin7

3.  Tom Coughlin, New York Giants – The New York Giants had a BYE in Week 8 which gives us a chance to review what Tom Coughlin has done since the Giants won the Super Bowl in the 2011 – 2012 season.

Tom Coughlin’s win/loss record 2012 – 2014:

19 – 20

Now you know why Tom Coughlin is on the Hot Seat and SHOULD be in his last season of coaching the New York Giants UNLESS Coughlin has done something in this past off-week to get his team to actually play the game of…

FOOTBALL!

The New York Giants do not play until Monday Night against the Indianapolis Colts at home and IF the New York Giants are going to do anything in 2014 then they better Damn win this game against the Colts with the next three games that are on deck:

At Seattle Seahawks
San Francisco 49ers
Dallas Cowboys

Coach ‘em up Tom!

GusBradley68

4.  Gus Bradley, Jacksonville Jaguars – The Jacksonville Jaguars got a BIG win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 7 BUT the Jags weren’t able to follow it up with a win over the average Miami Dolphins in Week 8 and that leaves Gus Bradley’s football team at….

1 – 7

….on the season and the Jags have these games left on their schedule:

At Cincinnati Bengals
Dallas Cowboys
At Indianapolis Colts
New York Giants
At Houston Texans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
At Chicago Bears
At Detroit Lions
Atlanta Falcons

Hell, if the Jacksonville Jaguars can’t beat the Miami Dolphins at home how many games will they win against the teams left on their schedule?

Our guess:  Maybe ONE or TWO or THREE more games TOPS!

Could Gus Bradley survive two seasons as the head coach of the Jags with records of….

4 – 12
4 – 12

….at best?

We don’t have a clue to the answer to that question but it sure the Hell seems like the Jacksonville Jaguars were a LOT better team when Jack Del Rio was coaching the Jags which was only….

JasonGarrett7

5.  Jason Garrett, Dallas Cowboys – The Washington Redskins had no business beating the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football BUT by far the best reason to put Jason Garrett back on the Hot Seat was the Dallas Cowboys offensive play-calling in overtime which went like this:

1st and 10 at DAL 20 (9:43) D.Murray right tackle to DAL 28 for 8 yards (C.Baker).

2nd and 2 at DAL 28 (9:11) T.Romo pass short right to D.Murray pushed ob at DAL 27 for -1 yards (P.Riley).

3rd and 3 at DAL 27 (8:25) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete short left to J.Witten (P.Riley). DAL-R.Leary was injured during the play. His return is Questionable. \

Timeout #1 by DAL at 08:21.

4th and 3 at DAL 27 (8:21) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass incomplete short right to D.Bryant (B.Breeland). Pass knocked away on a “corner route.” at the Dallas 45.

So on their first possession in overtime the Dallas Cowboys give it to DeMarco Murray who gains 8 yards and then….

3 straight pass incompletions by Tony “I have to be the Hero” Romo!

Stupid Is As Stupid Does come to our minds for some reason for both Garrett and Romo!

ForrestGump

Here’s the TRUTH:

The Dallas Cowboys could have run the ball right down the Washington Redskins THROAT and not thrown the ball even ONCE and went right down the field and scored the winning touchdown BUT then we are talking about…

Jason Garrett and Tony Romo

….here now….right?

RIGHT!

Oh Yea…and Jerry “I’m not a doctor but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night” Jones!

The Dallas Cowboys are now 6 – 2 on the season and here is the collective record of the 8 teams the Cowboys have played in 2014:

25 – 34

In other words….Bozo the Clown…

Bozo677

…could have led the Dallas Cowboys to a 6 – 2 record against the teams the Cowboys have played in 2014 to date and things get a little tougher for Dallas with these games still left to be played:

Arizona Cardinals
At Jacksonville Jaguars
At New York Giants
Philadelphia Eagles
At Chicago Bears
At Philadelphia Eagles
Indianapolis Colts
Washington Redskins

Let’s see here…Bozo the Clown could lead the Cowboys to a minimum record of…

4 – 4

….in the Cowboys last 8 games so what will Jason Garrett do?

Will Jason Garrett beat Bozo the Clown?

Stay tuned to find out!

LovieSmithTamp;a8322

6.  Lovie Smith, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Lovie Smith and his Buccaneers were dealt a tough loss against a struggling Vikings on Sunday and now at 1 – 6 on the season Tampa’s season is on the verge of turning into a…

Complete Freaking Disaster

…..primarily because we don’t see a team left on the Bucs schedule that Tampa can beat:

At Cleveland Browns
Atlanta Falcons
At Washington Redskins
At Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
At Detroit Lions
At Carolina Panthers
Green Bay Packers
New Orleans Saints

YES…the Tampa Bay Bucs COULD finish at 1 – 15 in 2014 and that is something the management and ownership of the Bucs better get ready to handle because a 1 – 15 record in 2014 for the Bucs would be a…

Complete Freaking Disaster!

KenWhisenhunt38839

7.  Ken Whisenhunt, Tennessee Titans – The Tennessee Titans have some roster problems for sure BUT there is no Damn reason for the Titans to NOT get better as the NFL season rolls on under new head coach Ken Whisenhunt and now at 2 – 6 on the season and with these games left to play….

At Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburg Steelers
At Philadelphia Eagles
At Houston Texans
New York Giants
New York Jets
At Jacksonville Jaguars
Indianapolis Colts

…..it looks like there are only TWO maybe THREE wins left on the Titans schedule and if that happens Ken Whisenhunt is going to be on the Hot Seat for the foreseeable future!

Coach ‘em up Ken!

Coaches Hot Seat NFL Quotes of the Day – Wednesday, October 29, 2014 – Francis Ford Coppola

Coaches Hot Seat NFL Quotes of the Day – Wednesday, October 29, 2014 – Francis Ford Coppola

FrancisFord777

“A number of images put together a certain way become something quite above and beyond what any of them are individually.”

And

“Anything you build on a large scale or with intense passion invites chaos.”

And

“Art depends on luck and talent.”

And

“I became quite successful very young, and it was mainly because I was so enthusiastic and I just worked so hard at it.”

And

“It’s ironic that at age 32, at probably the greatest moment of my career, with The Godfather having such an enormous success, I wasn’t even aware of it, because I was somewhere else under the deadline again.”

And

“The stuff that I got in trouble for, the casting for The Godfather or the flag scene in Patton, was the stuff that was remembered, and was considered the good work.”

And

“You have to really be courageous about your instincts and your ideas. Otherwise you’ll just knuckle under, and things that might have been memorable will be lost.”

And

“You ought to love what you’re doing because, especially in a movie, over time you really will start to hate it.”

And

“I think cinema, movies, and magic have always been closely associated. The very earliest people who made film were magicians.”

And

“I believe that filmmaking – as, probably, is everything – is a game you should play with all your cards, and all your dice, and whatever else you’ve got. So, each time I make a movie, I give it everything I have. I think everyone should, and I think everyone should do everything they do that way.”

And

“I associate my motion picture career more with being unhappy and scared, or being under the gun, than with anything pleasant.”

And

“The essence of cinema is editing. It’s the combination of what can be extraordinary images of people during emotional moments, or images in a general sense, put together in a kind of alchemy.”

And

On his film, “Apocalypse Now”, at the 1979 Cannes Film Festival: “My movie is not about Vietnam… my movie is Vietnam.”

And

“Anything you build on a large scale or with intense passion invites chaos.”

And

“Lots of people have criticized my movies, but nobody has ever identified the real problem: I’m a sloppy filmmaker.”

And

“The Godfather changed my life, for better or worse. It definitely made me have an older man’s film career when I was 29. So now I say, ‘If I had my older career when I was young, as an older man, maybe I can have a young film-maker’s career.'”

And

“Brando wants to do what you want, but he wants people to be honest and not try to manipulate him.”

And

“Marlon was never hard to work with. His behaviour was a little eccentric on the set. He was like a bad boy and did what he wanted. But as an actor he was never hard to work with.”

And

“I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor, dumb bastard die for his country.

Men, all this stuff you’ve heard about America not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans, traditionally, love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooters, the fastest runners, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost and will never lose a war, because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.

Now, an army is a team. It lives, eats, sleeps, fights as a team. This individuality stuff is a bunch of crap. The bilious bastards who wrote that stuff about individuality for the Saturday

Evening Post don’t know anything more about real battle than they do about fornicating.

Now, we have the finest food and equipment, the best spirit, and the best men in the world. You know, by God I, I actually pity those poor bastards we’re going up against, by God, I do.

We’re not just going to shoot the bastards; we’re going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We’re going to murder those lousy Hun bastards by the bushel.

Now, some of you boys, I know, are wondering whether or not you’ll chicken out under fire. Don’t worry about it. I can assure you that you will all do your duty.

The Nazis are the enemy. Wade into them. Spill their blood. Shoot them in the belly. When you put your hand into a bunch of goo that a moment before was your best friend’s face, you’ll know what to do.

Now there’s another thing I want you to remember: I don’t want to get any messages saying that we are holding our position. We’re not holding anything. Let the Hun do that. We are advancing constantly and we’re not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy. We’re going to hold onto him by the nose and we’re going to kick him in the ass. We’re going to kick the hell out of him all the time and we’re going to go through him like crap through a goose.

Now, there’s one thing that you men will be able to say when you get back home. And you may thank God for it. Thirty years from now when you’re sitting around your fireside with your grandson on your knee, and he asks you: “What did you do in the great World War II?” You won’t have to say, “Well, I shoveled shit in Louisiana.”

Alright, now, you sons-of-bitches, you know how I feel. Oh… I will be proud to lead you wonderful guys into battle anytime, anywhere.

That’s all.” Opening Speech by George C. Scott playing General Patton in move Patton

And

“It was here. The battlefield was here. The Carthaginians defending the city were attacked by three Roman Legions. The Carthaginians were proud and brave but they couldn’t hold. They were massacred. The Arab women stripped them of the tunics and swords, and lances. And the soldiers lay naked in the sun. 2000 years ago. I was here. (Looking at Bradley) You don’t believe me, do you Brad?

You know what the poet said:
‘Through the travail of ages,
Midst the pomp and toils of war,
Have I fought and strove and perished
Countless times upon a star.
As if through a glass, and darkly
The age-old strife I see—
Where I fought in many guises, many names—
but always me.’
Do you know who the poet was? Me.” Battle of Carthage Scene, movie Patton

And

“All Mighty and most merciful Father, We humbly beseech Thee, of thy great goodness to restrain this immoderate weather with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations. Amen.” Weather Prayer, move Patton

Coaches Hot Seat NFL Quotes of the Day – Tuesday, October 28, 2014 – Thomas Edison

ThomasE777

“Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward!”

And

“Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.”

And

“Discontent is the first necessity of progress.”

And

“Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”

And

“His genius he was quite content in one brief sentence to define; Of inspiration one percent, of perspiration, ninety nine.”

And

“One might think that the money value of an invention constitutes its reward to the man who loves his work. But… I continue to find my greatest pleasure, and so my reward, in the work that precedes what the world calls success.”

And

“I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun.”

And

“I never did anything by accident, nor did any of my inventions come by accident; they came by work.”

And

“If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.”

And

“It is astonishing what an effort it seems to be for many people to put their brains definitely and systematically to work.”

And

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”

And

“Nearly every man who develops an idea works it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then he gets discouraged. That’s not the place to become discouraged.”

And

“The reason a lot of people do not recognize opportunity is because it usually goes around wearing overalls looking like hard work.”

And

“The three great essentials to achieve anything worth while are: Hard work, Stick-to-itiveness, and Common sense.”

And

“The value of an idea lies in the using of it.”

And

“There is no substitute for hard work.”

And

“There’s a way to do it better – find it.”

And

“What you are will show in what you do.”

And

“Your worth consists in what you are and not in what you have.”

And

“Anything that won’t sell, I don’t want to invent. Its sale is proof of utility, and utility is success.”

And

“I know this world is ruled by infinite intelligence. Everything that surrounds us- everything that exists – proves that there are infinite laws behind it. There can be no denying this fact. It is mathematical in its precision.”

And

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

And

“Restlessness is discontent and discontent is the first necessity of progress. Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.”

And

“During all those years of experimentation and research, I never once made a discovery. All my work was deductive, and the results I achieved were those of invention, pure and simple. I would construct a theory and work on its lines until I found it was untenable. Then it would be discarded at once and another theory evolved. This was the only possible way for me to work out the problem. … I speak without exaggeration when I say that I have constructed 3,000 different theories in connection with the electric light, each one of them reasonable and apparently likely to be true. Yet only in two cases did my experiments prove the truth of my theory. My chief difficulty was in constructing the carbon filament. . . . Every quarter of the globe was ransacked by my agents, and all sorts of the queerest materials used, until finally the shred of bamboo, now utilized by us, was settled upon.” On his years of research in developing the electric light bulb

And

“Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits.”

And

“If our nation can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good, makes the bill good, also. The difference between the bond and the bill is the bond lets money brokers collect twice the amount of the bond and an additional 20%, whereas the currency pays nobody but those who contribute directly in some useful way. … It is absurd to say our country can issue $30 million in bonds and not $30 million in currency. Both are promises to pay, but one promise fattens the usurers and the other helps the people.”

And

“I believe in the existence of a Supreme Intelligence pervading the Universe.”‘

And

“We don’t know a millionth of one percent about anything.”

And

“I find out what the world needs. Then, I go ahead and invent it.”

And

“I owe my success to the fact that I never had a clock in my workroom. Seventy-five of us worked twenty hours every day and slept only four hours — and thrived on it.”

“Baseball is a game, yes. It is also a business. But what is most truly is is disguised combat. For all its gentility, its almost leisurely pace, baseball is violence under wraps.”

And

“If you can do that – if you run, hit, run the bases, hit with power, field, throw and do all other things that are part of the game – then you’re a good ballplayer.”

And

“In order to excel, you must be completely dedicated to your chosen sport. You must also be prepared to work hard and be willing to accept constructive criticism. Without one-hundred percent dedication, you won’t be able to do this.”

And

“They throw the ball, I hit it. They hit the ball, I catch it.”

And

“Every time I look at my pocketbook, I see Jackie Robinson.”

And

“If you can do that – if you run, hit, run the bases, hit with power, field, throw and do all other things that are part of the game – then you’re a good ballplayer.”

And

“It’s not hard. When I’m not hitting, I don’t hit nobody. But when I’m hitting, I hit anybody.”

And

“At ten I was playing against 18-year-old guys. At 15 I was playing professional ball with the Birmingham Black Barons, so I really came very quickly in all sports.”

And

“In 1950, when the Giants signed me, they gave me $15,000. I bought a 1950 Mercury. I couldn’t drive, but I had it in the parking lot there, and everybody that could drive would drive the car. So it was like a community thing.”

Coaches Hot Seat NFL Quotes of the Day – Thursday, October 23, 2014 – Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Seneca1

“One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.”

And
