NFL Post Week 3 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

A chair on fire... metaphor "In The Hot Seat"

There Is One Song That NFL Head Coaches HATE To Hear…Give Those NFL Hot Seat Coaches That Song Johnny Cash….Ring Of Fire!

NFL Post Week 3 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

1.  Joe Philbin, Miami Dolphins – With perhaps the easiest schedule to open the season of any team in the NFL the start to the 2015 season is looking like nothing short of a….

Complete Freaking Disaster

….for Joe Philbin and the Miami Dolphins who were lined-up to face in the first SIX weeks of the season…

Washington Redskins – Hapless and Confused Football Team

Jacksonville Jaguars – Hapless and Confused Football Team

Buffalo Bills – Team with New Head Coach

New York Jets – Team with New Head Coach

Tennessee Titans – Team Still In A Lot of Disarray

Houston Texans – Team Still Struggling To Find Its Identity

….but now Joe Philbin and the Dolphins have lost….

2 of their first 3 games

…and more than likely will have a losing record when they travel to play the New England Patriots in Foxboro on October 29 which very well could be the beginning of the end of Joe Philbin in Miami.
What is very clear to us here at Coaches Hot Seat is that anything short of a Postseason Playoff berth and the Joe Philbin era in Miami will end in December after four seasons on the job and that makes this Sundays home game against the New York Jets one of the biggest games of Joe Philbin’s short NFL head coaching career…..PERIOD.

2.  Gus Bradley, Jacksonville Jaguars – Gus Bradley is in his third season as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and has posted a win/loss record of…

8 – 26

….and in case anyone was wondering that is a winning percentage of….

….which puts Gus Bradley at the bottom of current NFL coaches in Winning Percentage….even below Redskins head coach Jay Gruden!

NFL Winningest Active Coaches

After the 51 – 17 loss to the Patriots in Week 3 things don’t get any easier for the Bradley and the Jaguars in Week 4 with a game against an…

Indianapolis Colts

….football team that seems to be playing pissed-off and a pissed-off team in the NFL is one of the worst things you can face…especially if your ass is on a Scorching Hot Seat as is the case with Gus Bradley!

3.  Ken Whisenhunt, Tennessee Titans – Ken Whisenhunt and the Tennessee Titans had no Damn business losing to the flailing-around Indianapolis Colts last Sunday and now instead of being…

2 – 1

…on the season the Titans are 1 – 2 with the following three home games on tap in Nashville:

Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins
Atlanta Falcons

If Ken Whisenhunt is going to get his ass off the Hot Seat and the Titans back into at least some kind of conversation in the NFL then for Damn sure the Titans better win 2 of their next 3 games so that they are….

3 – 3

…when they head to play the Houston Texans on the road on November 1.

4.  Jeff Fisher, St. Louis Rams – If we were the owner of the St. Louis Rams and had Billions of Dollars in the bank and we were determined to move the team to Los Angeles we would have found a way to already have the team playing in LA instead of the Complete Freaking Stupidity that is the Rams still playing games in St. Louis but then we were raised by Human Beings which may explain a lot about the current ownership of the Rams!

As for Rams head coach Jeff Fisher as we have said in this blog before it really doesn’t matter how many games the Rams win or lose in 2015 and although Fisher and his coaches are probably working hard to put some wins on the board this season the bottom-line is….

It Really Doesn’t Matter

…and that is just A Damn Shame because sports and winning SHOULD matter for an NFL franchise in the American Republic and the Rams have been so badly handled in recent years….like many NFL franchises….that it really takes the fun out of the entire Damn thing which brings us back to Jeff Fisher’s Hot Seat status…

Jeff Fisher is on the Hot Seat because in FOUR seasons on the job has posted a win/loss record of…

21 – 28 – 1

….and that’s just plain Crapola especially for a head coach like Jeff Fisher that had a nice run with the Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans including a trip to the Super Bowl in 1999 when the Titans lost to the….

St. Louis Rams!

Now at 1 – 2 on the season Jeff Fisher and the Rams have up next a game….

At Arizona Cardinals!

Good Luck with that Jeff Fisher!

5.  Lovie Smith, Tampa Bay Bucs – Lovie Smith may be coaching one of the most dysfunctional sports franchises in professional sports in the Tampa Bay Bucs and have an inconsistent rookie quarterback under center BUT sooner or later Smith is going to have to start winning some football games with the Bucs because in his second season the job he has this win/loss record on the wall….

3 – 16

…and that very simply does not Feed the Bulldog or the Buccaneer for that matter!

Now at 1 – 2 on the season the Bucs have a tough game in Week 4 against the Carolina Panthers but will have the opportunity to get a couple of wins in Weeks 5 and 6 with games against the Jaguars and Redskins which would be an ideal time for Lovie Smith to get things rolling in Tampa because if not now Lovie….when exactly are you going to get things rolling Tampa Lovie?

6.  Tom Coughlin, New York Giants – Tom Coughlin and the New York Giants were jumping around like a lot of kids that had just scored a free cotton candy making machine last Thursday night after they beat the Hapless and Confused Washington Redskins when in reality the Giants only….

Found a year old Milky Way Bar

….and only acted like they had scored a free cotton candy making machine!

Oh…the Idiocy of acting like you have done something when you have….

…which is becoming a High Art in the NFL these days with so many flunky Head Coaches and Quarterbacks now dominating “the League” and after that “BIG” win over the Redskins the Giants have a game….

At Buffalo

….in Week 4 and is there anyone with a working brain that thinks Rex Ryan is going to let this Pitiful Giants team stroll into Buffalo and beat his Bills?

Didn’t think so!

So IF the Giants lose to Buffalo they will be 1 – 3 on the season with the even more Pitiful San Francisco 49ers coming to Gotham in Week 5 which no doubt the Giants will probably beat and think they beat Bill Walsh’s 49ers which could NOT be farther from the TRUTH since the 49ers are one of those NFL teams with….

A Flunky Head Coach and Quarterback!

Well…the 49ers have a Nice Head Coach and Quarterback with the 49ers head coach no doubt soon headed to the Hot Seat!

7.  Jay Gruden, Washington Redskins – It’s hard for us to figure out Jay Gruden since he works for such a Complete Freaking Disaster of an organization in the Washington Redskins although to call the Redskins an “organization” is an insult to “organizations” around the world that would more than likely be insulted by anything….

Owned and Run by Complete Morons

….that might be classified as an “organization” so our bad on that folks!

Jay Gruden in his second year with the Redskins has posted a win/loss record of….

5 – 14

….and in our opinion as we look over the rest of the Redskins schedule…

Philadelphia Eagles
At Atlanta Falcons
At New York Jets
Tampa Bay Bucs
At New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
At Carolina Panthers
New York Giants
Dallas Cowboys
At Chicago Bears
Buffalo Bills
At Philadelphia Eagles
At Dallas Cowboys

….with Washington now sitting on a 1 – 2 record we rather doubt that Jay Gruden and his Washington football team will beat their win total of last season…

4 Wins

…which means more than likely the Redskins will AGAIN be looking for another head coach come December!

Good Luck to you Jay Gruden…you will need it son!

“”Duty, Honor, Country” — those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.”

“Rules are mostly made to be broken and are too often for the lazy to hide behind.”
