NFL Post Week 5 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings – These NFL Coaches Don’t Like To Hear It Johnny….But Give It To Them Anyway Mr. Cash!

NFL Post Week 5 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

A chair on fire... metaphor "In The Hot Seat"

These NFL Coaches Don’t Like To Hear It Johnny….But Give It To Them Anyway Mr. Cash!

NFL Post Week 5 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings

1.  Gus Bradley, Jacksonville Jaguars – In a MUST WIN Game last Sunday against the Tampa Bay Bucs Gus Bradley and his Jaguars didn’t get that win which dropped the Jags to 1 – 4 on the season and facing a dire future unless they can find some wins and in Helluva hurry.

With Gus Bradley now sitting on a record of….

8 – 28

….in his third year on the job with Jacksonville there are only so many more losses that he can take without finding himself out a job which makes each and every game important starting with…the next game for the Jags…which is against the struggling Houston Texans at home. Beating the Texans is important because a the next game is also at home against the Buffalo Bills followed by two straight road games against the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens.

Our guess….anything less than 6…maybe 7….wins by Gus Bradley in 2015 and he is DONE in Jacksonville and Hell the management and ownership of the Jags might even be expecting their head coach to be around the .500 mark in Year 3 on the job BUT whatever the exact situation in Jacksonville the important point right now is…

Gus Bradley NEEDS to start winning some Damn football games!

2.  Ken Whisenhunt, Tennessee Titans – Ken Whisenhunt is in his second season as the head coach of Tennessee Titans and after posting a record of…

2 – 14

….in 2014 Whisenhunt will have to show a decent amount of progress in 2015 especially with first pick in the NFL Draft Marcus Mariota under and center and thus why the Titans start to this season of….

1 – 3

…..has to concerning to the folks making the hiring and firing decisions in Nashville.

After a one point loss at home to the Buffalo Bills the Titans face a MUST WIN Game in Week 6 at home against the Miami Dolphins who have a new head coach after the firing of Joe Philbin and a loss in this spot by the Titans to a team that is floundering around and looked terrible in their game in London would be nothing short of a….

Complete Freaking Disaster!

After the game against the Dolphins the Titans next FOUR games are…

Atlanta Falcons
At Houston Texans
At New Orleans Saints
Carolina Panthers

….not exactly FOUR easy games to win and could easily be FOUR more losses which is why beating the Dolphins and getting some momentum THIS Sunday is so Damn important for Ken Whisenhunt and the Titans!

3.  Jason Garrett, Dallas Cowboys – Do you remember the old statement about Paul “Bear” Bryant which has been credited to have been said about the Bear by lots of people including the Late Great Bum Phillips?

“He could take his’n and beat your’n or he could take your’n and beat his’n.”

Translation: You could give Bear Bryant ANY group of football players and he would whip them into shape to beat the vast majority of football teams coached by other coaches which brings us to Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett who in our opinion….

Could be given the best talent in the NFL for 5 years and NOT win even one Super Bowl Title in those 5 years

Translation: Jason Garrett is just an AVERAGE coach who has done NOTHING in his life on this Earth to have deserved to be the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys or ANY NFL team for that matter….except of course to have an owner in Jerry Jones who in our opinion values….

A Head Coach that will NOT upstage Jerry Jones Precious Ego-Loving Ass

….rather than a REAL head football coach that will actually win games and championships.

Any average psychologist that follows the game of football would tell you that the reason that Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson after the Cowboys had won TWO straight Super Bowl Championships under Johnson was that Jimmy Johnson was getting the lion’s share of the credit for those titles….as he rightfully deserved….while Jerry Jones with his MASSIVE ego was getting very little credit…which was also correct because signing your name to a check has NOTHING to do with actually winning a championship on a football field and Jerry Jones hasn’t been on a football field in decades…besides his ass standing on the sidelines like some kind of kid thinking he has something to do with the Dallas Cowboys winning a football game!

Getting back to Jason Garrett if we were hired as the general manager of a NFL team tomorrow and that team needed a new head coach and we created a list of 100 coaches that we might be interested in hiring to coach our new team….

Jason Garrett would NOT be on that list of 100 Football Coaches

….but then as a general manager we would actually be interested in winning Games and Championships not worrying about how much attention we would get if the team won Games and Championships since the attention and credit would rightfully belong to the head coach, coaches and players that won those Games and Championships and not our precious ass as the GM if our team was so lucky to do such things.

In SIX seasons coaching the Dallas Cowboys Jason Garrett has posted a win/loss record of…

43 – 35

….and in the FOUR full seasons he has coached the Cowboys he has taken the team to the Playoffs….

ONE Time

…but then we are talking about the Dallas Cowboys here who since the 1995 season when the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl…

Oh, that REALLY has to hurt doesn’t it Jerry?

…..which is 19 NFL seasons the Cowboys have been the Playoffs…

8 Times!

Think about that for a second….in the last 19 NFL seasons the Cowboys have been to the Playoffs…

42% of the Time!

Be PROUD Jerry Jones…..Be Very Damn PROUD!

Getting back to Jason Garrett the Cowboys after the home loss to the Patriots are now at…

2 – 3

….on the season and have these games remaining to be played after a bye week:

At New York Giants
Seattle Seahawks
Philadelphia Eagles
At Tampa Bay Bucs
At Miami Dolphins
Carolina Panthers
At Washington Redskins
At Green Bay Packers
New York Jets
At Buffalo Bills
Washington Redskins

Now let’s see here…an AVERAGE NFL Head Coach coaching the current Dallas Cowboys football team assuming Tony Romo returns sometime around the Dolphins game would win…

7 of the last 11 games

….and a VERY GOOD NFL Head Coach would win…

9 of the last 11 games

….and a GREAT NFL Head Coach would win…

10 or 11 of the last 11 games

….so how many games will Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett win?

We are all about find out!

4.  Jim Tomsula, San Francisco 49ers – It really was too bad that the San Francisco 49ers gave away that game to the New York Giants on Sunday night because the Niners played well enough to win the game AND Jim Tomsula REALLY needed a win in that spot to stop the bleeding which only got that much worse with Eli Manning leading the Giants to that last minute win.

Now at 1 – 4 on the season and with the below games left to play…

Baltimore Ravens
Seattle Seahawks
At St. Louis Rams
Atlanta Falcons
At Seattle Seahawks
Arizona Cardinals
At Chicago Bears
At Cleveland Browns
Cincinnati Bengals
At Detroit Lions
St. Louis Rams

….the 49ers have PLENTY of talent to win at least something like…

6 of their last 11 games

….if they play only AVERAGE football but then can the 49ers even play AVERAGE football on a consistent basis at this point?

Not in our opinion and our guess right now is that the 49ers will finish the 2015 NFL season at…

3 – 13

…which almost certainly will lead to Jim Tomsula losing his job sometime in late December of this year.

Good Luck Jim!

5.  Jim Caldwell, Detroit Lions – Even though the Detroit Lions should have beaten Seattle a couple of weeks back now the TRUTH is that Lions are…

0 – 5

…on the season and their head coach Jim Caldwell is now squarely on the Hot Seat and in need of a win BADLY starting with a win against the suddenly surging Chicago Bears this coming Sunday in Detroit which with a win would set the Lions up nicely for their next game against the Minnesota Vikings the next Sunday which is also in Detroit. If you are thinking we are thinking that there is No Damn Reason why the Detroit Lions shouldn’t be…

2 – 5

…when they head to play at the Kansas City Chiefs on November 1 you would be RIGHT and to that we only say…

Coach ‘Em Up Jim!

6.  Jay Gruden, Washington Redskins – The Redskins played well in their Week 5 game at Atlanta before losing in overtime and now it’s up to head coach Jay Gruden to get his team focused again for a CRITICAL game at the New York Jets in Week 6 because with another loss the Redskins would drop to….

2 – 4

…on the season with the Tampa Bay Bucs coming to DC on October 25 which SHOULD be a win so with a win against the Jets and a win against the Bucs Washington could be…

4 – 4

….when they head to play at the New England Patriots on November 8 after a bye week.

It’s all about creating momentum and winning the games you SHOULD win and winning almost ALL of the games an NFL team PROBABLY COULD win and the New York Jets on Sunday is a PROBABLY COULD game that Jay Gruden and thus a game the Redskins Very Damn Much NEED to win!

7.  Jeff Fisher, St. Louis Rams – With the St. Louis Rams more than likely heading to Los Angeles come next Spring we have heard some rumblings that one…

Nick Saban

….might just be the new head coach of the Los Angeles Rams when they kick-off in the LA Coliseum in the Fall of 2016 which means current Rams head coach Jeff Fisher better Damn start winning some football games if he is interested in continuing to be an NFL head coach and we certainly will assume he is so interested until something proves otherwise….like the Rams imploding later this season!

Now in his FOURTH year as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams Jeff Fisher is sitting on a win/loss record of….

22 – 29 – 1

….which is below average of what we would expect from a coach of Jeff Fisher’s quality which is exactly why it’s so Damn important for Fisher to win some games in 2015 if he hopes to be head coach of the Los Angeles Rams in 2016!

Now at 2 – 3 on the season the Rams have TWO very winnable games at home up next against the…

Cleveland Browns
San Francisco 49ers

….so we see No Damn Reason why the Rams are not…

4 – 3

…when they head north to play at the Minnesota Vikings on November 8.

Our best guess: Anything less than 8 wins in 2015 and Jeff Fisher is DONE in St. Louis which means Jeff Fisher would be DONE in Los Angeles as well!
