That Was A Great Week 1 To Start The NFL Season and Now On To The Post Week 1 NFL Coaches Hot Seat Rankings – Give ‘Em Hell Johnny Cash! – We Are Americans….Let’s Play Football!
Post Week 1 NFL Coaches Hot Seat Rankings
Week 1 of the 2013 NFL Season is in the books and….
A Magnificent Week 1 It Was!
…which reminds us here at Coaches Hot Seat again that it is a very good thing that….
We Are Americans….Let’s Play Football!
With the Week 1 games over it is time for the first NFL Coaches Hot Seat Rankings of the season and as always we ask the Great Johnny Cash to tell these NFL coaches on the Hot Seat the Way It Is!
Give ‘em Hell Johnny!
Post Week 1 Coaches Hot Seat Rankings
1. Ron Rivera, Carolina Panthers – After putting up two losing seasons in his first two years on the job at Carolina Ron Rivera really needs a good start to the 2013 NFL season and in Week 1 one of the hottest teams in the NFL as the 2012 season ended, the Seattle Seahawks, came to Charlotte and got a very big win over the Panthers and that loss will put a lot of pressure on Rivera and Carolina in Week 2 with a game…
At Buffalo
…which should have beaten the mighty New England Patriots in Week 1.
With the New York Giants headed to Charlotte in Week 3 the game against the Buffalo Bills which has a first-year coach on the job in Doug Marrone is a….
MUST – MUST WIN for the Carolina Panthers!
2. Jason Garrett, Dallas Cowboys – Jason Garrett and the Dallas Cowboys beat a lackluster and at times it seemed an unmotivated New York Giants team in Dallas in Week 1 and if Garrett wants to get his rear-end off the Hot Seat his football team will have to KEEP WINNING football games including the Week 2 game…
At Kansas City
We are going to set the bar very high for Jason Garrett or any future head football coach of the Dallas Cowboys because the TRUTH is with the amount of money that Jerry Jones is spending on the Cowboys this fellow…
…could put up 8 wins a year and interestingly Jason Garrett has put up…
8 Wins
….in his two full years in Dallas which is very simply…
Not Good Enough!
Coach Hard Jason Garrett and if the Cowboys lose in KC….
Expect Hell Fire to Your Rear-End!
3. Dennis Allen, Oakland Raiders – Dennis Allen and the Oakland Raiders had a good chance to beat the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday with a motivated Terrelle Pryor playing quarterback and if the Raiders play like that in Week 2 against what looks like a team in the Jacksonville Jaguars that is in total disarray Oakland will be 1 – 1 a week form today.
Dennis Allen put up a record of…
4 – 12
…in his first year with the Oakland Raiders and he will need somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 wins in 2013 to have any chance of getting off the Hot Seat and losing to a confused and dazed Jacksonville team this coming Sunday would be a set-back that Allen and the Raiders might not recover from.
Coach Hard Dennis Allen….if you want to keep your job that is!
4. Rex Ryan, New York Jets – In what has to be one of the BIGGEST gifts in the history of the NFL Tampa Bay Bucs LB Lavonte David hit Jets QB Geno Smith as he was going out-of-bounds with time running down in the Jets – Bucs game that led to a personal foul penalty and a Jets win which led to Rex Ryan staying off what would have been one of the Hottest Seats in the history of American football BUT the bad news for the Jets is that…
The New England Patriots are up next on Thursday night in Foxboro!
With what looks like a rejuvenated Buffalo Bills team on tap for the Jets in Week 3 at home and then road trips to Tennessee and Atlanta Rex Ryan and the Jets really can’t afford to lose to AFC East Division rival Patriots in Week 2 because it would put the Jets behind the 8-ball early in the season and…
Light-Up Rex Ryan’s Rear-End EVEN MORE!
Coach Hard Rex Ryan….and don’t expect a New England Patriots linebacker to bail you out of this game in Foxboro!
5. Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – In Greg Schiano’s first year on the job with the Tampa Bay Bucs he put up a record of…
7 – 9
…and after a Clown Show loss to the New York Jets in Week 1 the Bucs have to turn around and play at home against what looks like a revitalized New Orleans Saints team which unfortunately for Schiano now looks like….
A MUST WIN Game!
Oh, a trip to play the New England Patriots in Foxboro is on tap for the Bucs in Week 3!
Coach Hard Greg Schiano and welcome to the Hot Seat!
6. Jim Schwartz, Detroit Lions – Jim Schwartz had done a credible but not great job in his four-plus seasons with the Detroit Lions BUT the goal and requirement for the Detroit Lions and Schwartz in 2013 is very simple for ALL to understand:
Go To the Playoffs or Hit the Road Jack….We Mean Jim!
Detroit got a very nice win at home over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 and next up is a trip to play at Arizona which is coming off of a very close loss to the St. Louis Rams and with a trip to play the Washington Redskins in DC in Week 3 for the Lions this game against the Cardinals is a very important game very early in the season.
Coach Hard Jimmy!
7. Mike Munchak, Tennessee Titans – In one of the stranger games of Week 1 of the NFL season the Tennessee Titans got a win over a Pittsburgh Steelers team that looked like its’ offense was coached by some Pee Wee 80lb coach that they picked-up on the way to the stadium BUT a Win Is A Win and Titans head coach Mike Munchak needs and will take wins any way he get them right now.
Up next for Tennessee is a tough trip to Houston to play the Texans and then they host the San Diego Chargers and New York Jets at home which are two very winnable games and if the Titans can find a way to beat Houston….
They might be 4 – 0 on September 29!
We shall see about that but for now….Mike Munchak = Hot Seat!
Let’s have a Great Week 2 of the NFL season and remember…
We Are Americans….Let’s Play Football!
